I also like the self-referential "it had been a year" thing. Very clever, and it's always nice to see old stories updated again.

Part 13 The forest was looming and dark. Four bodies lay on the ground. Celinra was near the trunk of one of the larger trees. Her arms were positioned in unnatural positions, but not as unnatural as the look on her face. The second body was Ila, her face contorted in a similar fasion to Celinra's. Positioned about ten metres from Celly. And lying halfway between them was the young Antenora, curled up and asleep on a mossy patch, suckiong on her thumb. what happened? i didn't mean for this to happen,
how can she sleep lying among those bodies, what is going on, how did they die? is she involved?
what is she thinking? dreaming? i must get inside
i must know{Advertisement} {/Advertisement} PART11 Annelise took Betsy and Pandora into a nearby room, "here, read this" she said, handing them a newspaper Betsy glanced at the front page, "this isn't from around here is it?" "No, none of the local papers touched this, but for some reason this one did, it's The 667er, from the city, away from the small town mentality, they didn't know how touchy this subject was in this area, the paper wasn't released in this area at the time of the story, town council banned it, but one of the guests brought it with him and i sort of helped myself to it." Pandora opened the paper and found the headline "2 Women Found Dead In Forest" "But that's Ila...?" "I've got to go, right now," Annelise said, "Serously, don't let anyone know you've seen this, I shouldn't be here, I'm sorry..." and with that she ran off into the night

It's brilliantly confusing. I'll have to re-read all the other bits a billion times, now.

Tried to post a comment, but my connection messed up. I won't lie and pretend it was some page-long piece of in-depth analysis, though. It was pretty much: This is enjoyably ominous and intriguing. And it is, although I too should reread it, or maybe just wait until it's finished and do so then.

This is very intriguing, and it looks like we may have skipped some more parts. And good use of advertising.

I still love it. Even though somehow you let my daughter end up in the middle of the woods with two dead bodies.
