Have to go through some sort of security or "sign in"? Yeah, At My School We Do, They Have to wear a tag saying "Visitor" Or "Hi, I'm ___ and i'm visiting here"
Get scared often while at school that someone has a weapon? Its Acutally Never Happened Yet, So I don't know.
Have a lot of bullying in your schools? There's Bullying.. But Not Tons Of it.
Have really defined cliques based on race? Sort Of. Most People Just Hang Out with their own race...
stolen from Bowling for Columbine) lock your doors all the time? I think Most Of Them Are Locked, but a few are open so visitors can come in. The Side Doors Are Locked =^-^=

I heard about a little boy who took a gun to school and shot a little girl because she wouldn't be his partner in line, in america. Talk about disturbed.
At my school there's no need for lots of security really, but we do have lock down pracs. just in case.

By locked doors, I meant at home. You know how in Bowling for Columbine, Michael Moore goes around in Canada during the day and opens peoples' doors? Do you guys always keep your doors locked at home? That's what I meant...
Anyway, at my school we do have a lot of different races, but they don't tend to hang out only with each other. Most of them are Asian, but then again, most of them also speak English really well... We don't have a lot of students who have only been speaking English for a couple years. That may be why... but then again, I don't know if the language barrier has anything to do with it.
I guess if people don't speak the language as well, they'll tend to hang out with people who speak the same language as them, and then they'll sort of start to form cliques... but still, you'd think that they wouldn't start hating everyone else just because they don't speak the same language.

Those racial cliques don't really work except for Hispanics and Blacks, I guess. There just aren't enough Asians *.

oh.Well, we don't have to lock our doors at home, most of the time we leave them open to let the sun in. But like, if my parents go out for a while somewhere, like up to the shops, then we have to lock them. But only when we're home alone. There aren't many races at my school. Mianly australians, with a few blacks or asians. But different races still hang out with different people, whoever they make friends with really.

Current School (High): Have to Sign in/go through Security: Yes, I have to sign in. But only if I'm late. Which is everyday when I don't have to do something before school. Non-students have to sign in and get tags and such.
Get Scared while someone at school has a weapon: It only happened that one time, and when I was a freshman. This time I got freaked out but the first time I was just glad to be somewhere exciting.
Have a lot of Bullying: None at all really, there are enough people and enough routes that you can avoid anyone who you really want to.
Have Really Defined Cliques Based on Race: Yes.
Lock you doors all the time: I never do. We have nothing people would want to steal. And neither do my mother or sisters, but my father grew up in the city and he always wants the door locked.
Old School: (Middle) Have to go through security: They didn't have any security or locked doors and such until I took to going around the school to get from class to class, in order to avoid people. But now they do.
Get Scared at school often that someone has a weapon: The only person I know of who ever brought a weapon to school is me, a swiss army knife I got for my birthday when we stopped at a gun show on the way up. I did get worred that this boy who was picked on very badly and always talking about violence might do something, but he never did.
Have a lot of Bullying: Zounds, yes.
Have really defined cliques based on race: That would be difficult, seeing as how there were only five or six "colored" people. There were pretty defined cliques based on other things, though.

*Sigh*
I have been the subject of racism and violence at school, but not really how it was described in the first post.
I could count the non-whites on two hands, at my school - a school of over one thousand pupils.
The thing is - we've been to teachers, me and my white friends, because we all get some of it - mine is racially centered, and about the clothes I wear. Admittedly, I don't see my friends getting a lot, really. Maybe I'm just feeling sorry for myself.
