A discussion on infinity can get really disturbing, hence its location. Well, talk.

Infinite is boring, when you look up at night and see the sky BOOM, there's infinite.

I have tried to fathom infinity, but I cannot. I think it's beyond the grasp of the human mind. If you subtract anything from infinity it's still infinity. Divide it by anything, and you still have infinity. It is rather unnerving to think about. [/ramblings]

Infinity is, to me, something that cannot be explained yet is always there. In a way this could turn around into a God thread because infinity, which is always there, could be the representation of a God of some kind, I will add more later when I unscrew all the thoughts in my head on this subject. I saw the title and "rush" here comes an infinate amount of ideas,
My jokes generally arent funny, spot the joke and I will clap.

Infinity's like a circle, only it's also the area inside the circle, and outside it, and the whole piece of paper, and then everything else.
But it's also the only known number other than 1 where itself squared equals itself, and the only known number other than two that equals the same when multiplied by itself as when added to itself.
And any number you think of other than infinity (or infinity+1 and childish stuff like that) is about infininity less than infinity. Maybe.

Definition: \In*fin"i*ty\, Unlimited extent of time, space, or quantity; eternity; boundlessness; immensity. --Sir T. More.
There can not be more infinities than one; for one of them would limit the other. --Sir W. Raleigh.
2. Unlimited capacity, energy, excellence, or knowledge; as, the infinity of God and his perfections. --Hooker.
3. Endless or indefinite number; great multitude; as an infinity of beauties. --Broome.
4. (Math.) A quantity greater than any assignable quantity ofn the same kind.
Note: Mathematically considered, infinity is always a limit of a variable quantity, resulting from a particular supposition made upon the varying element which enters it. --Davies & Peck (Math. Dict.).
5. (Geom.) That part of a line, or of a plane, or of space, which is infinitely distant. In modern geometry, parallel lines or planes are sometimes treated as lines or planes meeting at infinity.
{Circle at infinity}, an imaginary circle at infinity, through which, in geometry of three dimensions, every sphere is imagined to pass.
Difinition!

M: Most people don't like infinity because it's impossible to comprehend. Endy: We like it for just that. You can argue about infinity for...well...forever. M: I had a recurring dream where I was just flyting through space, and I could always see the edge in the distance, but whenever I got nearer to it, it went farther away... Endy: So, you didn't really get closer to it. M: -_- Endy: Er...I dunno what else to say. Too bad that M's friend doesn't post here--he has some WaCKy ideas about infinity.

If you traveled an infinate amount of distance, would you end up where you started?

.999... = 1, if we're on the subject of infinity. Admit it, you know it's true!

WELL. For infinity, I think of the word FOREVER. In my religion, I believe I will go to heaven and stay there forever. So, I think about forever and I can't. I mean I can, but I can't. It's so hard to explain. When I try to think about forever, I get the shivers...there's NO END. Then my mind gets backtracked to life, then I erase that and think of heaven. FOREVER...NO END. *shivers*
Was that kinda confusing?

That doesn't make sense. You said Not at all, because 'most everyone in the world feels the same way about infinty; but if everyone thinks the same why, how come why not?
I'm not saying you have to agree with me, but that doesn't make sense.
