Olaf/Baudelaire Disguises
In the inside cover of each book, there is always a picture of the Baudelaires, and one of Olaf. If, in the book, the Baudelaires or Olaf are disguised (or their features hidden) then the picture at the front depicts them so. Here they are:
The Bad Beginning: Baudelaires as themselves, and Olaf as himself
The Reptile Room: Baudelaires as themselves, and Olaf as Stephano (has shaved off his monobrow and put make-up on his tattoo).
The Wide Window: Baudelaires as themselves, and Olaf as Captain Sham (has covered his tattoo with a fake peg leg, and wears an eye-patch to cover monobrow).
The Miserable Mill: Baudelaires as themselves, and Olaf as Shirley, the receptionist of Dr Orwell (wears a wig and has eye-stockings to cover his tattoo. Also, it is impolite to look at a lady’s legs).
The Austere Academy: Baudelaires as themselves, and Olaf as Coach Genghis (turban covers monobrow and running shoes (and bad odour) cover his tattoo).
The Ersatz Elevator: Baudelaires as themselves, and Olaf as Gunther (monocle covers monobrow).
The Vile Village: Baudelaires as themselves, and Olaf as Detective Dupin (cool sunglasses cover monobrow and cool shoes cover tattoo).
The Hostile Hostpital: Baudelaires as themselves, and Olaf as Mattathias. The picture we see is that of a loud-speaker, as Olaf (or Mattathias) operates mainly through this.
The Carnivorous Carnival: Olaf as himself, and Baudelaires as the freaks (Klaus and Violet wear makeup, fake scars, and look to be a two-headed freak, Sunny wears a beard and looks like a wolf-baby).
The Slippery Slope: Olaf as him self, and Baudelaires are disguised as snow scouts (fencing masks cover their features. The masks are to stop the snow gnats).
The Grim Grotto: Olaf as himself, and Baudelaires are wearing diver costumes (their diving helmets cover their features).
Note: The diving costumes aren't really disguises, but protection against drowning.
The Penultimate Peril: Olaf as himself, and the Baudelaires disguised as concierges, with giant sunglasses to cover their faces.
The End: The Baudelaires as themselves, and Count Olaf as himself.
