Jenny, I love your Carmy! I've always pictured Carmelita the same way she is depicted in the illustrations, with bright red curls and bright azure eyes. She's around twelve years old with freckles that fade as she grows older, skinny and rather tomboyish. She is quite pretty and is of average height (as an adult I see her as being 5'4"). I imagine Nero's appearance the same way as he appears in the illustrations. He's in his late thirties and kind of chubby. He has light brown hair and always wears it in braids.

I always imagined Beatrice with brown, fairly wavy hair, and Sunny with blonde hair that's fairly straight. Someone said that all the Baudelaires would be pale- agreed entirely, whereas Beatrice would be more tanned. I am a strong believer that Dewey is Beatrice's father, and so would think that as I imagine Dewey with curly brown hair, his daughter would inherit more or less the same hair. Dewey would be tall, with brown eyes, and a long face that seems friendly. Ernest's face is almost identical, although when he's with his brothers, you can easily spot him out as the evil one due to subtle scowl that constantly sits on his brow. I imagine Kit to develop to be very pretty the more you look at her, although at first her face his heart-shaped and plain.
Have I put too much thought into this?

We all have I agree with you on Kit especially--I see her as very pretty in an unusual way, the sort of way you might miss on a first glance. I never really considered the Denouments--I always just thought, 'they're idntical, DUH'--but actually, they should be a little different. For a reason I don't understand, I picture Dewey as quite chubby, even though I think that's probably the opposite of what little canon we're given (the illustration, I think). In my head he reminds me of Klaus (as do all of the brothers), although for some reason I see Frank and Ernest as totally the same, weight-wise, with Dewey chubbier. No idea why. Nero! I picture him as a fairly short, overly plump man in his early forties, who is bald on top with his last remaining bits of light brown, greying, hair braided at odd angles. I see him as just totally ugly, with like no redeeming features looks-wise (which makes Carmelita's interest in him even more ridiculous to outsiders). I just realized--I kind of imagine Violet with freckles, even though I don't see the same for any of her siblings, or her mother. Weird. Olaf is kind of obvious to me. Old. Skinny. Hairy *shudders*. Freaky, toothy grin. Never shaves. Huge nose. Big shiny eyes. Horrible yellow nails. Fernald? Tall, thin, with skinny arms until the hooks cut off. Dark, sad eyes, which are a giveaway of his past. Any more?

Don't worry about it, May. I feel the same way when it comes to my fics. But you know what? Putting a lot of thought into something is a positive thing, so you should be very proud. Klaus and Sunny each have wavy, dark brown hair, while Violet has black hair. Violet and Sunny are tall and thin, while Klaus is average. He's still taller than his sisters, though. Kit is pretty, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is the triplet sister of Lemony and Jacques and is also the youngest. Her height and body-type are average. Jenny, I just love your image of Dewey! To be honest, I always pictured him as being really, really skinny with brown hair. I picture all three Quagmires having black hair and very blue, sapphire-colored eyes (I did this in order to match up with the infamous Quagmire sapphires). I imagine Fernald being just like Helquist's image of him: tall and thin, with a squarish jaw and either black or brown hair. He is very quiet, sad, and lonely. Colette is in her late twenties, with curly blonde hair down to her shoulders and blue eyes. She is tall and thin, with a pale complexion, though not as pale as Esme's. Like Fernald, Colette has also had a hard life, which is one of the reasons why the two of them eventually fall in love. In the cannon, I picture Olaf being around 45 years old with dark, shiny eyes and a long hooked nose. His breath always lingers of wine and his voice is sinister (think Tim Curry's audiobook version of him). Reason for Editing: Forgot about the Olaf.

Violet:I imagine Violet as very pretty with long dark hair. I also imagine her looking so tired and sad.
Klaus: I imagine him looking stressed and with the same hair color as Violet.
Sunny:I imagine Sunny as a child-Violet with blond hair.
Snickets: I imagine Lemony with brown hair. And medium height.
Quagmires: I imagine the Quagmires with dark hair and a permanently tired look in their eyes.

I think that Orlando (The man-woman) would be so unbelievably enormous that they are more or less a blob with arms and legs. The fat on their face squashes over and covers their cheeks in such a way that all their crucial facial features are unrecognisable. And while some people would just, due to gender issues and stereotypicalism, assume that Orlando is a man, a proper glance would confirm that tis person is not normal. They sound neutral, like a female and male at the same time when they speak.

I decided to have Jerome Squalor look like Crispin Glover (or George McFly). He's distantly related to the Quagmires - even though, during the events of the books, neither Jerome nor the Quagmires realize that.
Charlotte White, the younger sister of Annette White (George's grandmother in BTTF Universe), is the grandmother of Jerome. Sylvia Larson (George's mother in BTTF Universe) is also the mother of Jerome. This would be a good reason for Jerome and Kathy (Justice Strauss) to move to Hill Valley. I'm thinking of giving Jerome and Kathy a son, named Jacques - who would end up with young Beatrice.

I think that Jacques is tall and lanky, with straight brown hair that points upwards and sideburns. He has dark eyes and his eyebrow is long and thin, where as Olaf's is a bit fatter and hairier.
Beatrice, as in the Baudelaire mother, is stunningly beautiful, but in a way that you either are desperately impressed by, or else you are just bored by it, because there are so many beautiful people that you know that this woman is nothing breathtaking. If you know what I mean. She has long, curly brown hair, often twisted into a shiny side ponytail. Her eyes are hazel, and she has plump red lips. Despite her "Pretty face", she had a very muscly body and is quite tall. Kit, I forgot to mention, is shorter, and has a very feminine and curvy body, although she is quite strong.
Bertrand has dark hair that reached just below his ears, and like Jacques, has sideburns, although they are thinner. He, much like his wife, is very tough, although not all too tall, measuring to be only an inch or two taller than Beatrice. He has pale skin and a strong jaw bone.
Colette has almost white hair, silky and curly. Her locks twist perfectly, as though she's shaped them. She's got very, very pale skin, but rosy red lips. She has rather flimsy arms and gorgeous long legs, and of course, she is very tall. She's dangerously skinny, but perhaps this is just from her constant gymnastics.

As adults, I imagine them to be at least 5"7 because when I was 12, I was 5"6. I know that there is a difference, but I expect them to be a bit taller!

I imagine Hector being around 6'" and very skinny. He has dark brown hair that sticks up in the front and green eyes. In my ficverse, I made him and Jerome cousins, so they look alike in the eyes and face. Until his adulthood Hector remained very shy, mostly because he grew up in the Village of Fowl Devotees where his only companions were his mother and the crows.

Hector, Charles, and Jerome do all seem very similar. I was under the impression that Hector spent his whole life in the Village of Fowl Devotees. That can't be a very nice place to live in.
I think a lot of people do think of Jerome as tall and dark-haired, and Crispin Glover would fit that. I'd probably most see him as George of the original timeline, before Marty went back to 1955.
I have to think of who to imagine Esme as. She'd likely be tall and thin. I might edit my timeline a bit, to make her a bit younger. She could maybe be as young as in her mid-twenties. I'll have to think more about that.
Hmm, Vice Principal Nero as Mr. Strickland? I think he'd be taller and chubbier. He also seems to be meaner than Strickland.
I'm wondering if maybe Lindsay Lohan would make a good Carmelita. She was kind of a cute redhead, when she was younger. Now she doesn't look so great. I'm thinking of also having Carmelita do a turn-around, after the Denouement fire.

I love how you made Jerome related to the Quagmires, btw. I do something a little similar to that in my ficverse, when Hector marries Isadora and the two of them have three children (triplets). I can definately imagine Crispin Glover as Jerome. I remember him vividly from BTTF 1. Wasn't he also the guy in Willard as well? I picture Esme as either Parker Posey (Fiona from the Josie and the Pussycats movie) or Catherine Zeta-Jones. I think she expressed an interest in playing Esme if they ever planned on making a sequel to the first A Series of Unfortunate Events movie. I am very interested in seeing who you come up with for Esme. I can't remember anything about Mr. Strickland since it's been ages since I've watched the BTTF movies. It's always been hard for me to come up with an actor for Nero, too. The only person I can think of who would be good is Daniel Handler, since I loved his version of Nero on the audiobook version of TAA. I agree that Lindsay Lohan would make an excellent Carmelita. I've seen parts of The Parent Trap re-make and thought she was a really cute kid. I think your idea to have Carmelita do a turn-around is a great choice.

It's funny, because I was writing a Beatrice ficlet yesterday and I was picturing Catherine Zeta-Jones as Beatrice. But I think she'd make a good Esme, too. But Parker Posey as Esme would be perfection! She's just right for the part!

Now that you mention it, Catherine Zeta-Jones would make an excellent Beatrice. Will you be posting your ficlet upon its completion? Because I would really love to read it. Yes, Parker Posey was my first choice for Esme all because her character in Josie and the Pussycats reminded me remarkably of Esme. She and Fiona both wear bizarre outfits and do anything they possibly can to make sure things go their way.

Oh, totally.
I think that Geraldine would have short, mousy-brown (Or dirty blonde) hair that just reaches her neck. She's short, with a chubby face and green eyes. She always wears a women's business suit, usually in grey or navy blue. She's average weight, with obvious fake tanning on her legs, and her skin is relatively normal.
