Before I could answer, two of Gigi's children began fighting in the hallway. "I should go break them up. I'll talk to you later," she said as she ran down the hall towards them. "See you later," I replied. I went back into my apartment.

I watched her children and smiled. They were so cute and lovable. Gigi turned around to tell me one more thing. I would have listened, but I was too distracted by Kobolos devouring her kids, then dancing around with his arms in the air. "Well, I'll talk to you later." Gigi said. "All right, kids. Where are you hiding now?"

I tried to tell her what had happened, but she was already walking down the stairs.
As I put my belongings around the apartment, the hallway was getting busier and busier. I could hear snippets of various conversations as the residents passed my door. "The book is coming out in August, but it's only a paperback re-release." "Of course the heads were put there to confuse the dragons..." "Yeah, she's so cheexy!" ";-;" "I donated 52 cups." "The party will be ruined. Has nobody seen the cake?!"
I struggled to make sense of the comments while I organised the alst of my possessions. At that moment, however, there was a knock at the door. The party was about to begin, and it was time for my official introductions.

I opened the door and an unknown visitor was standing outside. "Hello, I am Tragedy Armando Thomas. You can call me Mildred. I live in the penthouse, in case you're wondering. Would you care to step out into the party?"

I thought this was a ridiculous statement as the party was clearly being held inside my apartment. I let everybody in.
I recognised some faces that I had already met. Linda was wiping down the table as Gigi looked for her kids underneath it. After a while there was a tinkling noise. Tragedy was making a toast.
"We are here today to welcome a new addition to our building. Most of you have already made yourself known to her. Since I started borrowing this building from my uncle, Asoue Proboard XI, we have fallen on some hard times. We all know that, at this moment in particular, we need as many new lodgers as we can get." The party-goers nodded solemnly. "Hopefully a new face in the crowd will increase our morale, and of course it is always a comfort to know that we have an extra pair of hands. And so, let's show our appreciation for this new 667er!" The melee applauded around me while I tried to decipher what Tragedy had just said. There was something strange about 667 Dark Avenue. I wasn't sure if I wanted to find out what it was. The clapping subsided.
"Welcome to 667, Kiki!"

"Thank you so much, everyone! I'm so glad that I chose to live here and not at the ramshackle UE." I replied.
"We're glad you did, too," said Tragedy.

The party was a very long one. As I was talking to many of the residents of dark Avenue.
"You are going to love it here Sir!" said one man.
"I hope so Mr.....?"
But the man began skipping away, and began to do many cartwheels.
I blinked. Strange.
As I pushed my way through the sea of people, I bumped into one girl.
She had short brown hair, and was wearing gray sweater and jeans.
"Hello!" I said happily.
"Who are you? Are you that stupid to live here? Why are you wearing that werid shirt. What?!? Why the heck do you get a bigger apartment? Why can't I live in a normal house? How come you get a party? Where did the coke come from?"
Before I could answer, or say anything she said, "Well? Who are you? Are you that stupid to know that you are to answer a question when someone asks?"

"No I am not stupid," I replied. This day was only getting worse. I turned around to walk away but found myself being pulled aside by more and more of the apartment-owners. This was all becoming too much. I took a deep breath and dove underneath the swarming masses. I emerged in the hallway, unnoticed. The door closed behind me with a quiet click. I looked around and headed for the spiral staircase. "Kiki! Where are you going?" It was Tragedy, the penthouse owner. "I... I have to leave. You guys are up to something here and I don't want to get involved. This isn't what I thought 667 Dark Avenue was going to be like. I wanted a new beginning, new friends, a new perspective. But this... it's a madhouse," I said, breathing heavily. The staircase was dark and the silence made the atmosphere even more eerie. After a lifetime, Tragedy reached into his pocket and pulled out something small. It looked like some kind of dessert. I was scared stiff. "Just remember, Kiki. You can log out any time you like, but you can never leave," he sighed. Then he winked at the camera, and ate a spoonful of pudding. Sixteen came out of my apartment with a shovel. "Time to bury the fic? I suppose it was never going to work anyway," he said sadly. Tragedy nodded. "potato this. I'm leaving," I said. THE END

But then I woke up. The party was still going strong. There was a boy sitting right beside me. 15 or 16 I would guess. As I sat up, he looked at me and smiled.
"Ah, you're awake! My name is Jacob. I used to be very annoying, but I really like to be a nice guy. If you ever need anything I'm here to help. This goes for everyone here. It's one big family."
"Oh hello!" I said. "Is there anything else I should know about this place?" I asked as BSam wandered by aimlessly and drunk.
"Just watch out for Triangle Eyes. She's a fiesty one, she is."
Soon after Jacob had walked off to keep BSam from wandering off the top of the building, an announcement came over the intercom.
"Attention! John McCain is a giant tentacle monster! Thank you!"
The girl that announced this soon wandered over to me. I soon learned her name was J. She then said with a smile
"Suppp bee-atch?"
