Ok, my next door nieghbor, let's call her Jenny, hates LOTR. She told me there was no reason for it. She's allowed to watch them, I will gladdly loan her the books and yet she still resuses. Jenny's obesssed with star wars...Maybe she thinks LOTR is a threat to those movies... She hurts my feelings by so plainly rejects thing I love... **sob**

I have a friend lets call her Mandie because thats her name. Mandie doesn't like LOTR ethier and she's had ample oprutnity to watch the movies/read the books. but she doesn't even though I and several others love the the series. We tease her about it but it's not a big deal. Some people just don't like some things, deal with it move on. It can't be a big deal if she's your friend. If she realy is hurting your feelings then tell her but don't take it so peronally. unless your kidding then disregard everything I just said, i have such a hard time telling on the stupid internet.

How is she rejecting it? Just saying she doesn't like it when you bring it up? Or bringing it up herself just to bug you? Your neighbor may just not like that genre, people do have different tastes. That's what makes the world interesting.
