I came across this on some kind of anime-based website, and thought I'd re-post it here to share with you all. I love how cute the Baudelaires turned out, despite Olaf's menacing form hovering over them. This piece reminds me of one of those fold-out mini posters you sometimes find either on the front or back pages of manga. The artist of this beautiful piece goes by the name, though I could probably find out if I did a thorough search of my history. *Edit* While going about the process of fixing the link, I found out that the artist goes by the username "memory Yo", who specializes in anime-based artwork on an artist's site called Pixiv.

Huh.... That is rather awesome. I love the different facets of the picture... The book, Olaf's looming, the indiscreet VFD behind the children, the periscope sticking out of the water... Wow, this is really fabulous!

Wow, that's amazing. It really has everything - fire, snakes, eyes, the sea (with the island in the background) - and more!

They certainly did a fantastic job interlinking everything, whoever they may be. The Baudelaires obliviousness to the entire chaos is both accurate (to an extent, I suppose) and interesting.

Aah, I recognize that picture! I saw it on a Japanese fanart website (Pixiv, for the curious). Never mind, I saw that Emma told us that, lol. I do wish there were more ASOUE fanart in Japan. From what I understand, ASOUE doesn't have too big of a fanbase over there. I recall trying to look up fanart for this amazing serious, but the one up there is the only one worth looking at.
Shame, I know The Saga of Darren Shan and Harry Potter are big over there, but not ASOUE. -sigh-

I am glad you guys like it. If memory Yo ever stumbles across this thread, then your lovely compliments are sure to warm their heart. And I agree, lucafernald, that it is quite unfortunate that ASoUE is not as popular in Japan as it is in other parts of the world. But at least we have other artists - especially those on 667 - whose tremendous talents make up for it.

Also, I like how there are elements of every book in this. I just noticed that the walls are actually a book too.

HOW AWESOME! IT HAS THE BALLOON, INK, PERISCOPE, VFD, A BURNING HOUSE, THE ISLAND, EVERYTHING! Whoops, got a little too happy there. But this deserved it.
