Emma, my dear, poligamia isn't forbidden for Muslim people. One might wonder whether it would be legal in Snicketland. (But then, it's not legal in America, and that doesn't seem to stop the characters in Big Love.) So, where do Miranda and Friday fit into this story?

Emma, my dear, poligamia isn't forbidden for Muslim people. Oops, my apologies! I wasn't aware of this, and hope I didn't come across as rude before, as that was certainly not my intention. So, where do Miranda and Friday fit into this story? Yes, I am curious about that, too. I like Humphrey's choice of tattoos. Is his first name an allusion to any particular historical or literary figure?

I'm very pleased that you have done Humphrey, colette! I think my Humphrey has a daughter, but apart from that I find your description of him very plausible.
(Emma, Humphrey is one of the characters briefly mentioned in The End, in connection with Olaf's story. I think I was the first to come up with the idea that he might be the missing Anwhistle sibling.)

Thank you for that bit of helpful info, Hermes. It's been a long time since I've read TE, so I've forgotten many details - in particular the little ones. I thought at first he was an OC of colette's. Also, it must be very flattering seeing your Humphrey idea being acknowledged in someone else's ficverse.

Well, French and Jewish don't really exclude each other. He could be 100% Jewish and still of French descent.
But where did she get the name Weyinburg?

But where did she get the name Weyinburg? Wait and see. In my ficverse Baudelaires and Beatrice didn't live together for too long. They were separated very soon.

Well, French and Jewish don't really exclude each other. He could be 100% Jewish and still of French descent. Those are my thoughts on the subject exactly. I am curious to know the answer to that question, too. By the way, it's lovely that Beatrice's middle name is after her mother's first name. ^^

I like the idea of Justice Strauss being so young; I've always pictured her being in her mid to late forties. It's sweet that her favorite movie is E.T. - it's one of mine, as well.
