I'm sure it will be a novel....seeing as it's a series all the books will have to link together, yeah? Although at this stage I wouldn't take anything too seriously. Lets just wait till this gains publicity (I'll go spread the word) and then see if we receive any email updates.

Well, well, well. See, I said we ought to be hearing a bit more by now! And lo, here it comes.
I can well imagine it being in a somewhat unconventional form - not, I would agree, anything quite as weird and apparently random as TUA: but I wouldn't rule out its consisting of letters, or diary entries, or whatever. The epistolary novel is an ancient and well-established form; and DH's adult and YA novels are all rather unconventional in structure. TBL is confusing, not because it consists of letters as such, but because the letters are out of order and the identity of their author/recipient is, at first at least, obscure.
Edit: I think ATWQ could stand for 'All the wrong questions' - which might be the title of the series ('Lemony Snicket: All the Wrong Questions') or could, as Dante suggests, refer only to the promotional campaign.

I like your suggestion of an alternative title to the one we've been speculating about, Hermes; I'd been thinking for a while - insofar as a few hours of today could be construed as a while - that "Lemony Snicket Asks The Wrong Questions" wasn't something I'd necessarily expect a series title to be; I'm not sure it works exactly. "All The Wrong Questions," though, is a different matter, although I'd like to see a colon between the second and third initials if that were the case. But it may yet just be the promotional campaign anyway. Still can't say anything for certain! I guess that's how you can tell it's a Lemony Snicket series.

Oh, and by the way, I just dug up some possible evidence that the first book will be out in September; see here.

So is this a new book series or not? You'd think that he (LS) would be back to his research by now.

So is this a new book series or not? You'd think that he (LS) would be back to his research by now. It's absolutely a new book series. We've known for a long time now that he was writing a four-book series to begin publication in 2012, and this is it. The first volume is almost certainly complete by now, and this is the beginning of the publicitly.

The first email has been sent out. Subject: "Why would anyone want to steal this statue?" The only content is one image: It almost reminds me of a Lachrymose Leech, mainly due to the proportions. Incidentally, the image's original filename is simply "LSATWQ.jpg".

I just posted a new thread about this, too. Since we haven't got many on this board yet, I figured we may as well go nuts.
