It seems that recently this forum has been swamped with new members (like me), in light of ATWQ. I've been eyeing Dark Avenue for a long time (ever since September 2011) but I kept on putting off getting an account. I guess procrastination is one of my biggest downfalls. Anyway, pleased to be here, and hopefully I don't conk out after a couple of days.

Hey Kensicle! Glad you decided to join us. I was the same way for a while, looking at the forum but not joining until I forgot and remembered about the site. I'm really glad we both finally joined!

Welcome to 667 Dark Avenue, which is now in its peak since the release of TE. The number of members has risen because of ATWQ, as you said.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcomes. Anyway, I've got a question: how do you post pictures here? Do you have to create an account on tinypic or something?

Thanks again. Brunch, that thread was really helpful and CV, I do hope I stick around for at least a while. So, to upload an image, I have to somehow give it a web URL, by using an image hosting website like photobucket, right?

Yes, if you get an image url with the image open in a separate tab just input the url between the image tags: [/img]

Thanks again. I've got yet another question - is bumping threads (with a reason, of course) acceptable outside of BBooks? I've seen Dante say that bumping threads is okay as long as you have interesting content, how about the other mods? (Sorry for firing questions off at you guys.)

I couldn't really speak for the other moderators, but you can easily reach them by PM.

Some of the more dormant moderators may prove difficult to reach, but, as you mentioned, if you're adding genuine content no one's going to beat you. On the other hand, if a thread is, say, five years old, you might want to consider starting a new one and acknowledge the topic has been discussed and you're reopening the discussion.
And on that note, welcome to 667 Dark Avenue, Kensicle!

Thanks for your help, Sherry Ann! It's a relief to know that no one's beating anyone. Dark Avenue is a really friendly forum. (Thank goodness they don't practise really cool member-bashing anymore.) Edit: I've just noticed that my last few posts have all started with "thanks". =)

Here are my sections rules if you are curious about my views on bumping threads: asoue.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=games&action=display&thread=26863Lately I have been more lenient only because games hasn't had much activity in the last few months. Please use your best judgement. Welcome to 667
