if I feel like watching only one of those things, can I just watch the end of evangelion and call it a day?

if I feel like watching only one of those things, can I just watch the end of evangelion and call it a day? No <3 If you're doing that though, watch Death+Rebirth first. It's a clip show summary of the series with a little bit of extra content tying it together. Then you can watch the EoE movie. I mean you can do whatever you want and the movie is a spectacle regardless, but you'd def be confused. The show is 26 episodes, but the production ran out of money so the last 2 episodes are a kind of ~thematic~ ending. Then when the show was successful, they got a budget to make End of Evangelion, which is what the last few episodes were meant to be.

i watched the third season of Atlanta. granted it's been five years since i last saw it, but i don't remember it borrowing so constantly from horror beats. it seems like they caught the Jordan Peele fever in a major way. everything is always ~~~~~OmInOuS~~~~~ . i guess there's a fine line between surreal satire and horror satire but they definitely crossed it.
