I think an arcade-style game is probable, but I hope it's meaningful. There are ways of doing something like that. Jigsaws which reveal unseen chapter pictures. Labyrinths with a start and goal that imitate something in the plot. If they're talking about a game singular, though, then it's probably not going to be so shallow as that, but I don't really think it's possible to know quite what to expect.

Cross-posting: I was going to say "maybe that's the case, but then why grab AllTheWrongQuestionsSeries.com instead of AllTheWrongQuestions.com?", but then I tried the latter and got a separate Snicket sign-up page. Strange that it wasn't registered by Hachette, so I looked it up - registered by Egmont. It's a separate sign-up list to Hachette's, too. So Egmont are actually doing something!

Contrary to what I've said elsewhere, Egmont have been promoting their AllTheWrongQuestions.com sign-up page (on their Twitter and, ironically, on The Guardian's page for Chapter One from them, so we should've known about this ages ago) - and it's active! Look what I got in the mail earlier: It's slightly smaller than the original. Notice that the URL is "3.jpg" - 2 is Ellington Feint, but there doesn't seem to be a 1. You can edit the numbers upwards to get later images, too, all the same as we've received so far from Hachette, up to 10, which we know as "Stormy weather," the last-but-one that we've received via Hachette.

Yes, I just got that one about three hours ago. I haven't received one or two though. In the Egmont emails there is also a single line of text- "downloading the images to this email will not help you find any answers."

... and, ironically, on The Guardian's page for Chapter One from them, so we should've known about this ages ago) Right. I guess we didn't notice the sign-up page was actually a different url than Hachette's. (Something else interesting about that page is that, despite claims the first chapter would be available for only a week, the entire excerpt is still there.) Can you tell if they've already sent out the e-mails subsequent to this to early signers, or if everyone on Egmont's list is getting this promotion just today?

No idea, but it's a reasonable guess that Egmont are sending out the same e-mails on their own schedule.

Thank you ! I hadn't seen all of them, but that's a good way to have them all in one place !

I don't think people realise that I've been archiving every single one here...

Well I knew about that. Your effort doesn't go unnoticed on me, Dante.

Egmont's "How can we stop him?" allegedly arrived nine hours ago. Like "Where has all the ink gone?" this promotion is also smaller than the Hachette version. But more importantly, the timing of this update and the last gives us an idea of their schedule: thus far they appear to be biweekly, but they'll have to speed up at some point if they want to catch "Stormy weather" and any promotions that might come after it.

I got Egmont's "When does the bell ring?" today, and found their e-mail archive. It looks like they're sending them every fortnight or so.

The most recent Egmont Snicketmail comes just a week after the previous. I reckon they're stepping up the pace so that they can use all of Hachette's material.

I'm beginning to wonder if we are going to see any of the promised features on the website at all.

Yeah :/ I'm a little let down as well, but I'm still hoping for a book trailer. And if it's going to be anywhere as good as 120 Books in 120 Seconds or The Snicket Emergency, I think it'll make up for the lack of the other stuff.
