One of the puzzles of that picture: Is that person walking away from the camera, or towards it?

I guess it's not that clearcut, but it seems to indicate he's walking away from the camera, concluding from the moonlight shining on his back, as he'd probably cast a shadow on his chest under his head if he'd be walking towards us.

When I only look at the person and the shadow he looks walking towards the camera, I don't know why but I think it's because the shadow of the leg in the air is shorter than the other leg's. But when I look at the whole picture he's more walking away.

I knew the rope would be important! And y'all complained about it being on the cover. I'm still not a big fan. I think if it were curved slightly, or given some texture, then maybe it would better stand as an object in an illustration. But as I think Dante said in another thread - it just looks too much like a line. One other point about the masks: I think these might be the masks from Chapter One, i.e., the ones Theadora and Lemony wear when entering Stain'd-by-the-Sea.
