I'm sure they'd be delighted with anything your mind could devise.

How fierce do you think the competition will be?
I've been working on a couple of songs; my skills on my brand of instrument are like Snicket's; mediocre but hey; dreariness is a theme to this series; no?

There's a couple of excellent submissions on Tumblr so far, but last time I counted, there are enough submissions for everybody to win. As more people submit and the chances of winning are shortened, I suppose we just have to rely on ourselves trying our best and pushing our ideas I can't wait to hear your music.

Trust me; it's dreadful; but I am hoping I will have a sporting chance!

Do we need to post the art on Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr? or Can we just do it on one of them? I only have Tumblr

Just one of them will be fine, rheichou! So long as it has the #ATWQFanart tag, they'll see it.
Edit: I said I would do something, and I have. Now I just have to fix my scanner. That may yet be the hard part...

Yay! But it says nothing about age limit or country limit!

At this point the only thing we can do is assume that anything goes. So if you're a hundred-year-old Russian who works for the Hachette Book Group, go right ahead. And if you're anyone else, of any age, from anywhere, go right ahead too. They've had plenty of opportunities to turn you away, but I can't think why they would.
As noted above, I need to fix my home scanner before I can get my cover art scanned. But it's done and dusted.

It's not yet been twenty-four hours since my last post, which I hope you'll excuse, but I thought it was important to post these up sooner rather than later in the hopes of stirring up a bit of enthusiasm around here and getting some more entries to the fanart contest. Even someone like me, very much not an artist, can produce something with a day or two's hard graft. My tools are as limited as my talent. I draw pencil outlines and then fill over them with felt tips. Perspective is a gamble; human anatomy an impossibility. Nonetheless, I think that you get a kind of idea of what I was going for with this, what I had in my imagination versus what I was able to achieve in reality. Fancover for a fanfiction, "What Are You Doing Here?" (?a).I also produced a very much sketch-draft of an Inhumane Society insignia. There isn't a canonical one, but I thought that there should be one. I didn't have any reference material for the Bombinating Beast, or trees for that matter, when I drew this, but again, I think you get the picture, as it were. Inhumane Society - insignia sketch.

Well done, Dante! The cover is definitely a nice way of bringing attention to your story and it's rather appealing too! The colours and composition are really nice, plus you've matched Seth's covers well. I especially like the long shadow. The red and orange are really striking and the I.S. symbol is a nice touch! I've been working on this video for just over a week (which isn't actually much considering what the Baudelaires went through in a fortnight). I will submit it when I've scanned the portraits onto my computer. Lemony is scanned and edited already. I've tried to include a melange of references, some obvious, some a bit more hidden, or it can just be enjoyed as a basic video. See what you can work out, if anything EDIT: I need to make a change in this so for now, this is a prototype. By the way, it would be so very lovely if people could please help me out by Liking my art page; it will help in the self-promotional aspects of the career that I plan to go down Thanks!

It is a fantastic video, Pevalwen, but something about it for me sets bells ringing. Check out all of those cool effects and images, though! All your work, I presume, Pevalwen; be proud of it. If your inbox isn't soon ringing with praise and prizes, I'd be surprised.

Thanks, you two! And thank goodness we have such alert volunteers on here as Dante has suggested a little change that needs to be made if a certain message is to get across successfully- I shall re-post a new version of the video shortly, but will keep this one up as a prototype for now

This has also reminded me to make sure to actually tweet my own art, or else I've no chance. As ever, the offer to tweet other 667ers' art stands - or even retweet art tweeted by others to help raise its profile and tie it to 667. Pevalwen, good luck with the video; I'd be genuinely surprised if it didn't number among the winners.
