what matters to me? honesty, simplicity, fairness, and anka. And most of all happiness, which I get from all of those things.

I want to do some good in this corrupted world and pay back what I take in life. I don't really care for happiness or whatever; that's very temporary, and doesn't really leave a mark on the world.

i don't think you can do good without being happy, or vice versa.

i don't think you can do good without being happy, or vice versa. false i do good all the time, i'm rarely happy

so, for the sake of argument, i give to charity. just because my brain chemistry is messed up and it's hard for me to feel happy a lot of the time, doesn't make the giving to charity any less of a good act.

i don't think you can do good without being happy, or vice versa. You can definitely do vice versa, and probably the first thing too.

so, for the sake of argument, i give to charity. just because my brain chemistry is messed up and it's hard for me to feel happy a lot of the time, doesn't make the giving to charity any less of a good act. but would you not feel even the tiniest bit happy about giving to charity? even if it was only for a second? I would, anyway.

nope, and ignore my sake of argument bit. this actually happens. in my life. i do that.
it's possibly an even more altruistic act than giving because it makes you happy, because when you're being made happy you're getting something out of the bargain, how selfish of you, giving money just because you want to be happy.
argument taken to the extreme but i am way too sober for midnight and this show is kind of depressing. apologies.
