I don't have anything against Shakespeare, but I have something against making people read it at school because plays are supposed to be played/watched and not read.

I like Shakespeare, or at least the fraction of his works I'm acquainted with, although I can't keep up with the story or dialogue without having read the play before watching it - which saddens me, since that means I can't experience any of the plays the way they were originally meant to be.

Read The Merchant of Venice recently and then watched the Al Pacino film adaptation. Pretty good play. Pretty clever.
