what are your opinions on odd future/ tyler, the creator/ earl/ frank ocean? personally i think tyler makes killer music, but not as good as earl or as good ascfrank, but better than hodgey and jasper and salsa. loiter squad was surprisingly funny too.

earl sweatshirt is amazing and one of the best rappers alive today. he also makes his own super moody beats sometimes, not sure how good they are necessarily, but definitely interesting.
tyler has been the slowest to mature but he's clearly v talented. he's a decent rapper and a more than decent producer. still, he'll get better. more than anything he has a great eye for visuals.
frank ocean has some good rap skills but he never even does that anymore. i don't think he's a good singer at all
everyone else is basically s.h.i.t.

I agree with what's been said. Earl is da bomb and the one I keep coming back to listen to. But I did get aware of him through Tyler first.
I listened to most of the songs on Tyler's first two albums when they came out, but I thought the beats were still too primitive for me to enjoyably re-listen to most of the tracks. And the rape-kill-burn-school-vibe of the lyrics got old fast. Occasionally Tyler'd get in some good lines, though, and he got somewhat better at songwriting. His production skills really started to become fully formed with Cherry Bomb imo (EDIT:oops, I meant Wolf, but CB's better). And yes, he's a natural aesthetic designer, creating the OFWGKTA style, incl. music video directing skills, which are a big part of my interest in the collective. Loiter Squad's pretty funny, but not as funny as some of Adult Swim's other programs. Still pretty cool, though.
Oh, and I've seen Tyler live once, and it was quite fun.

What do you mean, you "can't"?

That's too bad about living itm of nowhere. I started going to shows when I was 14, though. Some local bands can be cool, too, even if they're not famous

this teacher at my school's daughter is going out with the drummer of some band that tours nationally and they are a pretty good band, my dad was in a band a while ago but their music was terrible.
