I'd like to nominate The Night Manager by John le Carre. I was working on this book and thought it looked pretty fun. (I can get the isbn later from work. It's :9780241247525 ).

Would it be considered ill-mannered to nominate and vote for books without making the commitment to read the eventual winner? I have fluctuating good and bad reading periods, so I can't guarantee I'll be able to keep up. Anyway, I nominate Norwegian Wood. This one, by Haruki Murakami, not this one. ISBN for the UK edition is: 0-09-944882, and for the US edition: 0-375-70402-7I also nominate Thief of Time by Terry Pratchett. ISBN: 0-06-019956-3And also, The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger. ISBN: 978-0-241-95043-2

Oh, didn't think about that. =l
In my defense, I haven't read any of these yet, and I honestly do think society would benefit if children were more exposed to sexuality. You know, in ways that aren't physically or mentally harmful, obviously.

it's okay, i think the age limit is a bit pointless anyway. both daniel handler books we read have some pretty explicit content that no one seemed to notice or care about. also we only have one actual 13 year old on 667 and i don't think pepmint would read a book, but if he did, i'm 100% sure he's seen/heard things worse than murakami already.

Yeah the age limit is more geared towards newer members...although I'm not sure how many 13 year olds are on here anymore. When new children geared Snicket books come out sometimes we have an influx of younger members, so that's really for them (and now the Netflix show!!). Although, to be honest, I don't really know what 13 year olds are up to these days...
I generally feel if you nominate something you should at least be participating in the discussion.

Yay, all these titles are available in braille, so I'll be able to participate no matter what nomination wins!!! I know none of you had any way of divining that, but since I'm currently on tenderhooks for the third book in a series that's been available to sighties for a year, I'm overly happy about this.
