The game won't come out here for a while yet, but I know we have a bunch of Americans and Australians here, so I was wondering whether any of you have tried the game? If you have, what's your verdict? And even if not, what do you think? Is it a groundbreaking development for the video game industry, or another step toward our inevitable Orwellian dystopia? Should I try it? I've always been adamant about not allowing my devices to check my location, but since it's a pretty integral part of this game, I guess it really avoided if I want to play it - and I can't say that I don't see the appeal.

I know almost nothing about Pokémon, besides Pepper showing me some rather alarming-looking specimens once, but I think I heard some encouraging thing about Pokémon Go - something to do with it dangerously leading people to walk on train tracks or something idk. And Isadora Is a Door we're non-smartphone-having buddies. High five for non-smartphone having.

My brother says it's fun. It seems to be really popular at his university, I guess that's because 1. it's the generation that used to trade Pokemon cards all the time in Primary school and play the games when they were new and stuff, and 2. he studies some media IT stuff so the people there are generally interested in video games and stuff. It does seem like a cool idea, and I would probably play it if I had played other Pokemon stuff in my childhood, but I didn't, so I don't. Also I can imagine it getting boring after a very short time if they don't include new ideas every now and then.
Also all the most awesome people I know don't have smartphones, so I sometimes feel sorry for having one.

I only know pokemon from a childhood obsession with the show, but my mom doesn't want me to download if because she thinks it's creepy.

I have been meaning to try it, it was rude enough to come out when I was out of town with limited internet.

We sat outside for dinner today and this group of people came over to our table looking for a pokemon.

So, I caught an Eevee today. ^_^
I've brutally cast aside my principles and downloaded the app, but I don't have that thing on my phone where the internet goes with you when you leave home, so I can only catch the pokémon that appear inside my own house. Today I went for on a pokémon hunt with a friend who lent me internet access, and the game got notably more interesting.
I do have a smartphone, but only begrudgingly after losing my trusty Nokia 1101 (which, knowing the model, is probably still intact with some power left on the battery, wherever it is). I play this on my tablet, which - unlike phones - is something I feel is appropriate to use for games.
