I gained a big appreciation for King Lear after choosing to write an essay on it.
I'm still not into the whole ye-olde-english deciphering though.. just makes for an arduous reading experience.

Well, we are in the hamlet thread. As to all plays, they are meant to be performed, not read like books. So any criticisms you have might have to be amended to that fact.

Well, if bear stands by his opinion from that time when he said all recited poetry that wasn't recited by the author was going to corrupt his cultural understanding, not liking performed plays either seems like a natural consequence.
