1. inglourious basterds 2. pulp fiction 3. reservoir dogs 4. kill bill vol 1+2 5. jackie brown 6. death proof 7./8. the hateful eight /django unchained
6 through 8 I'm not sure about the order. If you incl. True romance, that'd be #6. the heck is a tazza

There is no one main reason, just a collection of things that made me not care as much about it. For one, it was too long and it dragged on a few times (towards the end, or the journey to Calvin Candy's mansion - way too drawn out). Second, the soundtrack was too unfocused - Tarantino used good songs carelessly and all over the place; he used to be better than that (f.ex. there was one long stretch full of different songs ending with a heavy Johnny Cash song for an undramatic horse ride). Another point was that Hilda was too flat a character; she was just a basic damsel in distress, a plot device. I read Tarantino's original screenplay and there actually was a great chapter about how she got to Candyland that was really badass and I wish he would've left it in the movie.
I haven't seen the film since it came out, though (but I saw it twice then, I think). Overall, I did enjoy it; I just like his other flicks better (w/possible exception of TH8+DP).

Oh awesome, really interesting, thank you. I might give the screenplay a read sometime!
