Which death was the most heartbreaking to you? To me it definetely was Dewey's. Olaf's was second most heartbreaking( I know it sounds weird).

We didn't see it happen, but the way Beatrice's death affected Lemony was pretty sad.

Although it is sort of removed from the audience in a Roald Dahl-esque way, the deaths of Beatrice I and Bertrand are really sad, especially in the later books (TSS and TE come to mind)

I will always find Monty's death very, very sad. Partly because he was just so nice and interesting, and partly because it was quite tragic how little time he got to spend with the Baudelaires.
I agree with the other comments that the deaths of Dewey, Olaf, and Beatrice & Bertrand were also very sad. Dewey's was perhaps the most awfully, horrifyingly heartbreaking, because it was an accident and seemed such a dreadful waste of a life, and such a horrible burden upon the Baudelaires' lives.
Olaf's death marked the end of many things (not least the series), and somehow brought home the sadness of a life so ill-spent: when I come to that point in the book, I always think about what could have been, what might have happened, if only he had chosen a different path.
And of course Beatrice and Bertrand's death is the catalyst for all the misfortune the Baudelaire children face, and watching them struggle to survive and to come to terms with their own grief is certainly heartbreaking.

I expected Uncle Monty to be the most popular choice, even despite his death wasn't heartbreaking to me( because, unlike the majority, I am neutral about him).

Speaking as a mother, I would have to say Kit's death was the most heartbreaking. She gives her life up for her baby, which is very brave and noble, but it is heart-wrenching her baby will never know her, share smiles with her, and Kit does not get to watch her grow up or raise her.

I've always found the Quagmires(and by extension Hector, Captain Widdershins, Fernald, Phil[?], and Fiona)'s uncertain fate at the hands of the Great Unknown to be one of the saddest plot points of the entire series.
