Unfortunate unfollowed Barry Sonnenfeld. I wonder why. His IG page is down. Can't follow someone who isn't there.

Given what we saw of it in the trailer it's likely been augmented with CGI to look more like actual water in the show itself.

So many characters are not returning; it is quiet upsetting!
No Jacqueline apparently due to a contract dispute or some such reason.
No Hal; who knows why?
No Captain Widdershins; amalgamated into Fiona.
No Charles; due to a hurricane (like something out of the Wide Window!)
No Bearded Volunteer; maybe he was not asked? (Yet Taxi Driver from Wide Window returns)
Is Sir coming back for definite? Are the Freaks going to be in Penultimate Peril? Is Mr. Remora returning? Lesko? Morrow?

The British Board of Film Classification have uploaded their rating of Season 3 - PG (UK) - and in doing so, have also revealed the runtimes of every single episode: The Slippery Slope: Part One - 43 minutes, 3 seconds
The Slippery Slope: Part Two - 43 minutes, 33 seconds
The Grim Grotto: Part One - 43 minutes, 57 seconds
The Grim Grotto: Part Two - 35 minutes, 47 seconds
The Penultimate Peril: Part One - 54 minutes, 25 seconds
The Penultimate Peril: Part Two - 51 minutes, 11 seconds
The End - 51 minutes, 39 seconds
Which leads up to a collective runtime of 323 minutes and 35 seconds or to put it another way; 5 hours, 23 minutes, and 35 seconds. :Edit: For those who are sad enough to care about such things (like me!), this gives Season 3 a rough average of about 45 minutes per episode. One minute lower than Season 1's average runtime (46) but also one minute higher than Season 2's (44). And of course, if you average all three seasons' averages you are left with an average of about 45 minutes per episode. (I'm going to stop now as I have not only come to the logical conclusion, but am also sick of continually writing the word "average").

Here are the approximate runtimes of each book (in minutes, rounded up if 30 seconds of over): The Bad Beginning - 113 minutes The Reptile Room - 91 minutes The Wide Window - 95 minutes The Miserable Mill - 91 minutes The Austere Academy - 98 minutes The Ersatz Elevator - 93 minutes The Vile Village - 89 minutes The Hostile Hospital - 84 minutes The Carnivorous Carnival - 88 minutes The Slippery Slope - 87 minutes The Grim Grotto - 80 minutes The Penultimate Peril - 105 minutes The End - 52 minutes It's interesting that the first book ended up having the longest runtime, but I guess, as we predicted, all of the side plots starting to reach their conclusions brings the runtime of the last few books down.

I'm honestly quite happy the lengths of the "books" went down as the series went on. I felt that Season 1's biggest problem was a feeling of being heavily padded in some episodes (mainly TWW: 1/2). I thought Season 2 improved quite a bit in this regard by actually giving us a full-on side-plot and story arc with Jacques and Oliva instead of just cutting occasionally to members of V.F.D. from time to time simply to extend an episode's runtime.

If you look in the comments under the post you can see him confirm that he is not in Season 3. This is a post about how one of the highlights of his 2018 was his role in THH: 1/2. Not really sure why there's any confusion here.
