Yep, it's back! Weird Ships Week has always seemed like one of 667's most inane, a word which here means "excellent", traditions, and I think it's high time we continued it. The thing is, I haven't ever been around for one of the WSWs... that's where the forum at large comes in.
This thread will basically serve as a suggestion box. Are there old traditions around WSW that we should honor or new ones that we should add? What rules should be laid down? Are there opening and closing ceremonies? When will we have WSW? Where will we have WSW?
A note for the uninitiated: Weird Ships Week is pretty much exactly what it sounds like; a week where we discuss the most bizarre boats we've ever seen a week where members of the community write a variety of fanfictions, each one containing a... well, a weird ship at its core. Hilarity and accusations of character assassination ensue.
I do believe that's everything. Thank you all in advance; let the suggestions begin!

We should do a marvelous marriage role play.
I ship Violet and Olaf. If only the marriage wasn't annulled 💔💔💔💔💔💔 #themarvelousmarriage #truelove #icklejusticestrauss

My ship is Beatrice and Bertrand ... It may seem strange for a couple, legally married, heterosexual and adult, but I like that kind of romantic relationship.

Nice idea. Probably more appropriate for Fearsome Fiction however.

I propose adding the following rules to WSW:
- no incest - no child abuse

Specify what you mean by child abuse: do you mean any shipping involving children, any shipping between adults and children, or any clearly toxic or exploitative ships involving children?

It's not the most "unique" ship out there I'm sure, but I love everything about Esmé and Dr. Orwell as a pairing. Even though they've never met in the canon, I can imagine that Georgina's pragmatism and methodical way of doing things would have an interesting dynamic with Esmé's more wild, capricious nature. And, let's be real here, they would be the ultimate power couple when it comes to "be gay do crime."

Count Olaf x Ms. Tench would be cool
I'd ship Poe and Markson if he wasn't married and they would be in the same timeline. That would be hilarious :DDDD

You do know that WSW doesn't just mean naming weird ships, don't you?

Hello again! I haven't forgotten about this, I promise...
So. The dates for this year's Weird Ships Week have been decided. Drumroll, please!
WSW will begin on May 22nd and end on the 29th. It'll start and end on a Saturday — it just seemed better than beginning on a Monday. It should also give you plenty of time to write your fanfiction. I highly recommend that you do not tell the forum at large what ship you're writing for; part of the fun is being surprised by how sick and twisted the minds of some of our members are.
Happy writing, everyone! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to PM me.
