Idk if this counts, since it's technically an EP, but it was definitely my favourite new thing from '21
Saw my favourite DJ play the second track live in London in the summer

I've listened to Low's Hey What the other day (twice in a row), which was quite good. More production-wise than song-wise but I haven't payed close attention to the lyrics yet.
Nick Cave& Warren Ellis' Carnage had a couple of bangers on it (Hand of God & White Elephant, off the top of my head). Some of the stuff on the album is a bit meh, though.
(Also I've just discovered Cool Greenhouse, but their debut/last album is from 2020. Kind of like stand-up delivered through deadpan vocals on top of minimal post-punky rock. In the vein of Girlband, Squid, LCD Soundsystem... all heavily influenced by The Fall.)
EDIT: I forgot about Sleaford Mods' Spare Ribs! Fav album of the year, probs

I forgot, Black Midi's Cavalcade from 2021 is also an oddball but fun journey of an album

My absolute favorite of 2021 was James Blake's "Friends who break your heart"

One of my favourite albums last year was Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land - MARINA.
