Hello, dear 667ers! I have written a middle-grade supernatural adventure novel called The Doom Town Dummies. Naturally, it's been significantly influenced by Mr Snicket, and Mr Helquist gets a nod in the form of a character who shares his name. The book has been illustrated, following the spirit of Snicket's paperbacks and The Spiderwick Chronicles, which inspired me a lot during childhood. I look forward to releasing the book in September! Around July, I'll be looking for those who might like to read a digital copy in return for leaving an honest Amazon review on the launch day. Please let me know if you might be up for this! I'll share book updates in this thread in case it's of any interest to anyone!

Just an FYI, since this post is about original work it should be in my section. Isadora Is a Door, can you move it over?

How splendid! How long have you been writing this story? Thank you! I have been writing it since 2016, when I was at university. There were then years of writing and editing, and going to and fro with agents, before I finally decided to publish it myself. It's been fun to take it through its final stages, and it was lovely to have my friend Milena illustrate it.

Thank you, GlitteryMisery! Here is a little summary! Colette Planchette talks to the dead using a supernatural sense of smell. This comes in handy, considering her best friend Lucian is a ghost. When the pair find themselves in a village of eerie shop-window dummies, the stench of danger becomes ever closer. Someone, or something, is watching...There is some information and a newsletter sign-up on my website here: www.liamrfindlay.com/Thanks for the interest!

This is great! I am excited to read it myself and, as a middle school teacher, am looking forward to introducing it to my students.
