So, recently, in the UK, the home secretary has spoken about removing tents for homeless people (BBC news tent : www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67321319 ) Now, I wouldn't expect most people to understand quite how the complexeties of these issues work, but I actually have a lot of experience working with homeless people as part of my job. I am a general manager where i work so i don't just work in the library, but also deal with the council homeless services. Not only is there a waiting list for temporary accomadition for rough sleepers which is currently three months long, but there is also a waiting list for tents. Thats how bad the current situation is. Anyway, getting back to the point, I think that from the current things that Suella Braverman is saying that you would could think that these tents are not being provided to the homeless by the government, when in a lot of cases they are. They have absolutely no intention of stopping the distribution of those tents, and yet are also planning on taking them away from people. And so it goes.

so silly how there are people with multiple properties when there are some on a waiting list for a TENT. shelter is a basic human right. any and everyone has the possibility to become homeless due to a series of unfortunate events (not punny).
i think it is horrible when governments have almost infinite resources to provide affordable housing, yet won't allocate the money to create more infrastructure for these people. just tax the banks fr. my dad designs affordable housing, and there is no shortage of good people, and suitable buildings/lots - there are so many organisations which are dying for funding.
