Now if Hollywood were to make a movie series based off the books and wanted to turn each book into a movie, the best book to start with would be The Miserable Mill.
That way you wouldn’t have over ten movies but have ten instead of thirteen and you wouldn’t have worry about trying to turn the first two books into a movie.

So, this is a good discussion. If we were to turn Asoue into movies again, I think it would be good to add the books and change the plot. They would be continuations of the 2004 film. We would have to find a way with actors who are already older, but I think we finally have the technology for that. Or we would make feature-length animation films, stop-motion if possible (because I think it suits asoue, but maybe I'm wrong). But talking about the plot: at first I thought we could combine TMM, TAA and TEE in a single film. But adjusting the plot for a film with these three books is difficult. So what would I do... adapt TAA, TEE and TVV into a single film, and pretend that TMM doesn't exist. I know this seems very wrong, but this trio of books would center on the events involving the Quagmires. The first act introduces these new characters. The turning point in the story would be when they were kidnapped. The story would develop in the second act, which would basically be the search for the Quagmires while the Baudelaires find out more about VFD and what happened in the fire. The Quagmires are kidnapped again, and then the Baudelaires go to the city of VFD and there again look for the Quagmires, and when a happy ending is expected, we have a cliffranger with the separation of the Quagmires and the Baudelaires becoming fugitives.
