One of my favorite interviews is the one from MTV in 1993 December.

I like them…but I’m a much bigger fan of Pearl Jam though.
Ten >>> Nevermind & In Utero.
I feel if Kurt Cobain hadn’t committed suicide at the height of grunge’s popularity and been allowed to continue to make newer music with Nirvana and Pearl Jam broke up after Vitalogy, Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam would be far more popular and remembered among today’s generation than Nirvana because they were bigger than Nirvana back in the Early-To-Mid-1990’s.
But it doesn’t matter, Creed and STP blows both bands out of the water.

I’m sorry, is it not “cool” and “intellectual” to like Creed’s music? Do you seriously think I care what an ASOUE fan thinks about Creed and their music??? Seriously, just because you like the same fictional book series as me doesn’t mean I care in the least what you think about the band Creed and it doesn’t mean you’ll have the same musical tastes as me. Comments like this are why some people hated grunge music and their fans and why grunge died.

I was just having a laff. I don’t know why you’re going on about Creed, I’ve never even heard them. I think the grunge scene died because all styles of art die (and are usually reborn)

Forgive me for getting so defensive. I’m very sorry if I got a little heated with you there for moment and steered this thread off-topic. It’s not worth starting an Internet argument over a redneck rock band I use to enjoy as a kid.
I just get tired of the hate Creed gets from everyone, that’s all. They’re not that bad you know? If people would just listen to deep cuts on Creed’s first three albums…Creed haters might see how the band got so big in the first place and see that there is more than meets the eye.
But I also have to remember not everyone here is American (as Creed was mostly an American phenomenon) and probably not even old to remember when Creed was at the height of their popularity in America.
But back on-topic, I enjoy Nirvana, but I feel they are overrated and I like Pearl Jam’s Ten more than any Nirvana album and I like Creed and STP more than both bands, although I should have said that without seeming like I’m trying to get a rise out of people here especially with my controversial Creed take.

Kurt Cobain was a liberal, no-talent, no-good druggy piece of sh*t and he is in Hell for committing suicide. Wish he were still alive so I can choke the living sh*t out of him.
And I heard both Dave Grohl and Kurt Cobain liked to have gay sex with each other.
F*ck grunge and especially f*ck Nirvana.
