Exactly. I'm one of the only kids at my school who hates raps, and I'm the only kid who reads books for fun. Well, the girls do sometimes, but it's mainly sappy romance stories. What's wrong with sappy romance stories? I think it changes when you get to highschool. Theres so many people and all of them have varied intrests.

Well, I had the same feeling in grade 9. I couldn't relate to people in my classes, and I thought they were all stupid terrible idiots who thought of nothing but getting drunk and the opposite sex. But, going through highschool, and being a little more sociable, I've met more people who share my interests. I joined some stuff: band, the musical, a gay-straight alliance, debate, and most people aren't actually idiots and losers with no brain capacity... but I didn't talk to them too much, so I didn't know. I still have to play soccer with girls who talk about getting drunk and guys I don't know ALL_THE_TIME, but I get along okay with some people on that team, and that makes it worthwhile...
All kids are NOT alike. You said there were people here you could identify with. We're kids, too. We may live somewhere else, but there are people out there who share your interests, you just have to go find them. I was so afraid to talk to people I didn't know and go and join clubs and such, but once I did, it was fun and I got to know more people.

I just think that most of the offline folks around where I live are a bit slow (you may have noticed already that's it's rubbed off on me ;-P). Tyler, if you don't like us why do you keep coming back? There are very few people here that are worth coming back for. QUIT IT WITH THE RUMORS, M.

I'm sorry... that was weird.
You mean you don't have any close friends at all you can talk to? No one who seems even remotely human??

There's always people to hang out with at my school... as long as you're not that picky, you can have a hugemongous circle of friends with little effort. But still, I wouldn't be able to relate to those people that well. I've found some people here who think a lot like I do, and I'm not afraid to tell them stuff, like about my thoughts and things about my life. I guess I'm more wary when it's real life... I'm really shy, but working hard to get over it... it's one of the things I don't have to worry too much about online
