Time for SetnicK to settle the debate.
With the new karma feature, members of 667 Dark Avenue have the newfound power to exalt and smite each other. However, this gadget has caused many to experience a loss of words - mainly because they do not know just what the past tense of 'smite' is. Words such as 'smited', 'smote', and 'smit' float across the forum. But what should one truly say when referring to the event of lowering someone's karma? I am here to enlighten you. And the correct word is...
Smote. Smote is considered the past tense of smite. Smit is rarely used and is (I think) considered obsolete. Smited is not, and has never been, a word.

I think 667 should be creative. I proclaim that the past tense of smite is now "Smaught."

Just for the record, I knew it was smote, but I chose to say smit. That is why I love you. Trag, I like the new word but it scares me how much you're acting like Char now.

Is it just me though, or does the phrase 'Snicket someone just 'smaught' you' , soud just tiny bit irregular and odd. It sounds far too much like 'sought' for my liking, Tragdey....

I myself like 'smaught'. It sounds more past tense-y.

It's not defiance if you go with the gramatically correct term.

Smote. Smote is considered the past tense of smite. *feels good for already knowing the past tense of smite*

Quaght! I couldn't think of that one, it was really annoying me and Char wasn't on AIM.
So in summary: yay.
