Didn't get it, my email is locked to anyone who isn't in my address book.
Could someone copy and paste it into this thread?
Members of 667 Dark Avenue,
asoue.proboards11.com Happy New Year! I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you about the changes
667 has made for 2006.
First of all, you’ll notice some slight changes in the layout. The colors are a
bit different, sections have been moved and we’re currently using a new banner.
Also, Proboards has added new features over the past few months, which make the
forum easier to navigate and more practical. Due to popular demand, a Say-Box
was added to the bottom of the forum main page so members can chat. “Karma” is
being given a test run for the next week, so we’ll see how that goes. More
exciting changes are coming. Please feel free to e-mail me with more
suggestions.
Second, there are a couple of new moderators, and a new breed of law enforcers
called Detriment Deleters. The DDs right now are Setnick and OrangeyTwixet.
Right now, I’m accepting applications for the third DD spot, which was recently
vacated when Snicket stepped down. If you’re interested, please see the topic in
Foreboding Feedback. Although the moderating staff is basically set, there are a
few positions vacant. Keep this in mind if you like moderating.
Third, I’ve created a fairly new and under-used section, called Ravaged
Resources. This could very well become the most important part of 667 with time.
It’s a Read-Only section where members can post articles and reports about the
Series, like a vault of information. To submit any material you have written, or
any articles from the internet you’ve found, please contact me.
Right now, the members of the forum are currently voting for 667's Member of the
Year for 2005. Please visit Alarming Announcements to choose from one of
thirteen candidates. Every vote counts. The winner of the award gets a prize...
which I haven't decided on yet so don't ask.
I’d like to thank all of the members who stuck with us over the past three
years, but also request that you inactive members return to the forum. The
member count reads nearly 5000, but the number of truly active members is far,
far less. We still have so much room to grow. I welcome back all of you that
left us in the past, and promise that you’ll enjoy yourselves on our pages. Stop
by and check out the changes.
Some of you left months and months ago, because the forum was boring and
inactive. Those were the days when it would take us 7 months to gain 100
members; there were times when no one was online at all. It's taken a lot of
hard work, but now 667 is very active, and one of the best sites to discuss
Lemony Snicket and his books. With the movie released and Book the Thirteenth
within plain view, there’s a lot of great discussion going on. Come back.
There’s no better place to exchange thoughts on the Series and meet other fans.

A special note to webmasters: If you have your own website and want to become an
affiliate of 667 Dark Avenue, please contact me. Most of my affiliates are
outdated, and I’m looking for new sites. Affiliating with 667 requires that you
put a link-button of ours on your site, and in exchange your site gets a special
place in “Lemony Links,” a section which currently features only 6 other sites.
Remember that linking up with 667 will probably raise traffic on your site
considerably. Also remember that I only accept the best websites.
Last and most importantly, I need to inform you all that I’ve established 667’s
“Last Safe Place.” Just in case something happens to 667 Dark Avenue in the
future, report to
countolaf.proboards5.com, our back-up board. You might
even want to go register an account right now.
Write to mthomas113@yahoo.com with questions or comments.
All the best,
Tragedy
