School Hating Club If you hate your godamn peers like I do, if thinking of them makes you twitch and want to get a gun and shoot something, then join the club. I hate my peers more than anything in the world, more than anything in the universe and more than anything outside the universe. They're the biggest assholes on the planet and they deserved to be locked in a pen until they wind up killing each other--which they would. They have a fun little games that they play like "Throw Someone in Front of a Moving Bus" and "Grab Your Friend By The Neck, Put His Head in The Locker and SLAM THE GODAMN DOOR UNTIL HIS BRAINS START LEAKING OUT" and "Thrust Your Fingers Into Someone's Eye", "Grab Someone Smaller Than You and Throw Him At People" and "Just Pick on Someone Who You Don't Even Have to Know and Drive Them to Suicide and Then Laugh".
It gets worse at highschool. I'm already having nightmares about it and I'm 2 years away.

Message from Whitney:
High school's not that bad, I promise. Most of what you've [probably] heard is all a bunch of rumors. Seniors aren't Satan, they don't put you behind the door, and there really aren't a lot of cases of people beating up others. Honestly, you'll survive easily. Heck, I did...

Ok J, I told you this before, you can go to a highschool where it isn't that bad. Trust me, I'm at one, of course there a couple idiots but in high school it's easy to avoid them. You're a smart girl, you can get into a highschool you want, you could probably transfer schools now. If you aren't happy just tell someone and get out of your current school.

Hum...High school, to me, sucks, but it's only because I really just don't enjoy going to school. I want to learn, but I don't seem to be learning anything that I want to learn.
The people...well, it just depends on how you look at them. Honestly, J, I have no doubt in my mind that the kids at your school are a bunch of loudmouth jackassses who pick on kids for no reason. The simple fact of the matter is that for the most part, people suck all over. They always have, they always will, no matter how old you get. There's always going to be those people you secretly hope will slip in the path of an oncoming bus, preferably one with a slightly-blind driver, thus increasing the chances of them getting run over. But it all depends on how you deal with them. Having never been the victim of much random bullying, I may not know much on the subject, but from what I've observed in my studies, the less you care, the less they care. Cliched advice? Terribly. But it's very true cliched advice. And even if it doesn't succeed in making them quit messing with you, at least you won't care. Apathy has it's high points.
Personally? The people at my school annoy me. I don't understand their views, customs, ideas, values...any of it. Right now, my friend is mad at me because I refused to go to this moronic basketball game that's going on tonight. "But...I don't like basketball." "So?" "Well, why go if I don't want to watch it?" "We don't watch it! We go to the lobby and chill." 'Why go all the way back to school to hang out when I'd rather be alone?" "....."
So...yeah. People are weird. I like to look at highschool as a voyage in which I must study these alien species. And occasionally poke fun back at them.

about high school not being bad--I know it will be because I'm with the same students I am now, and I doubt they'll have a revelation. "My God, what a jerk I have been! I will be considerably nicer now, calmer and I will be less violet and not pick on anyone who's face I just don't like." No, they're brainless and unintelligent.
Of course, I usually just cool after-- I have daydreams about having awesome powers that I use to teach them a lesson...Carrie is always a wonderful read...

Which is why I say, change schools! You haven't given me a reason why you can't do that. You once said everyone would be the same wherever you went but that's a lie and a lame excuse. You can find a school where you'll like, I know it.
And to recruit, single sex education rocks. Theres alot less pressure on the social stuff, which you might like. It's still school, but it's not terrible.

J, just apply for some other school or something. I'm sure you still have time to send out applications. I actually did that around January of the winter before high school, but still...

i dont even have to change schools. kindergarden-high school is all in one connected building. it sucks, but its better than a different school.

Scholarship. Financial aid. Job. Any one of those soultions can get you to a better school. Two of my closest friends are at my school because of the scholarships they got, and they've been able to keep them for two years now. One of my friends has one just to help and tons of people have aid, I'd have it if I qualified. And this girl Stephanie had enough money to go combined with her mom, her job, and some aid but she decided she wanted to be like everyone else and go to a different school.
