I think I'm a nail biter I need to check my business cards and other documents. Let's see, I'm a braces picker, girl scout, communist, I graduated Little Miss Hitler's School for Future Female Dictators, a snow scount, a VFD member, a psychiatrist, a CEO of Enron )oops I that was supposed to be in head not out loud!), here it is a referall to Nail Biters Anonymous. So yes I am a nail biter and I am enrolling.

Have you ever stared longingly at someone else's luxurious nails and wished that you could have nails like that, so you can bite them mercilessly, because you're stuck biting your own infected, bleeding stumps of fingers? ;-; I also bite my fingers, pen and puppy. Niiibler.

I don't bite my nails, but a friend of mine at school does. Someone always has to hit her when she does so, so that it would stop her from permanently doing it over and over again.

I've bitten my nails for as long as I've had teeth. I've kicked my other habits *coughsuckingmythumbuntiliwas11cough* and recently I've kinda said, 'Eww, I put my hands on the floor (to pick up a pen or something) and then put them in my mouth!!' So I do have a problem, and I want to kick it before my 14th (the day after tomorrow- no I'm serious).
I few months ago I made a list of the people who bite their nails (e.g. myself, a few friends, my older sister) and realised that we all have great immune systems. My mum and other sister get sick about 5-8 times a year, where as I only get sick about 2-4 times a year, and they're usually only respritorily related or common colds that everyone in my class and family have. A coincidence, I think not! Sign me up, Scotty *ahem* I mean Linda.
I'm Lucy. I have a disorder. I bite my nails. I'm not an anxious person, but I do bite my nails, and my pens/pencils. Someone actually once commented that my pencil resembled one that a dog chewed up - charming. I think long nails look ridiculous on any one, especially guys. I think everyone should have nails at the tip of their finger, and they can't bite them off, or grow them. I tired to bite my sister's fingernails once, but she smacked me.
Woes: I've had my fingers bleed, I've had ingrown fingers, I've used that horrible tasting nail polish - doesn't affect me I've been told off every time I bite them - doesn't work either I've been dubbed 'Nora' by my family, which is better then 'Nicorette' or 'Alkie' short for 'Alchoholic' or even 'Helga' for my Nordic looks and thick hair.
Help me!

Wow, I didn't think this would be so popular. I also was worried people would think this was just a joke, because I was completely serious when I made it.
Who's gone without biting their fingernails for the past 24 hours? Everyone congratulate yourselves! And for those of you who have, you can try to do better tomorrow. Something I've found helpful is to keep a set of clippers with you and trim your fingernails whenever you get the temptation to bite them. Just make sure you don't trim them too short, because that hurts (I've had experience with that before).

I do occasionally bite my nails. Mostly when I'm nervous. Or when my nails get too long.

I'm not sure. I like them. They have character.

They're nice. But just because you are a character doesn't mean you have character. I just wanted to say that quote, I'm not sure it even fits here. Both of our nails can have their positive traits.

Every time I bit my nails yesterday (which I tried not to do) I thought of you guys. But I haven't bitten them yet today! *looks down at fingernails* Resist the urge, resist the urge...

My nails aren't gross, but I can't remember a day when I haven't gnawed on them. There's this girl in my grade whose nails (and hands) are so gross, and they're all crusty with blood, and some lack nails.

Wow, that is disgusting. Not as disgusting as Dupin's poem he wrote about this, though.
Dupin, will you post your poem? I haven't had the slightest desire to bite my nails since I read it.
