So are you saying homosexuality is genetic or that its just made up? It is a choice. Christians did the same thing, they chose to be christian even though they suffered hatred, humilitation, and death for thier choice. When it comes to being gay I think you never know, your family might accept or they might disown you. You have to take the chance or else you'll be denying a part of yourself. Wether your born gay or not its not something you can just turn off when you've accepted what you are. You just have to hope eveyone else will accept it too.

I don't think so Tommy. Gay people can stil have childern. They can do artificial insemimnation ( if you think i had any idea how to spell that your wrong) or for example Melissa Etheridge, a lesbian who had sex with a friend of hers to produce a baby.

You just have to hope eveyone else will accept it too. I agree. To a certain extent it is a choice, but I'm not just sure how much... I guess it has to do with acceptance and coming out and stuff more than "okay, I'm going to be gay, now", but then again... I don't really know. If someone is homosexual, they think that lifestyle is right for them and they're willing to put themselves in danger for what they believe is right... people do it all the time: make sacrifices for what they believe in. However, I don't think we can dismiss genetics as a possible cause: we just don't know enough.

Well, I think some of you have good points. But I think it is possible to be born homosexual, or maybe it`s in genetics like someone else here said. I still don`t really agree with the whole "choice" thing, though. And it could be part of His plan to bring down the population a bit. But, hey, that`s just my opinion.

See I can't see God creating someone just to bring population down. If he did do that, creating homosexuals, who sin and do wrong, then wouldn't they all go to hell? Why would he create someone just to eventually send them to hell? and I don't think having homosexuals bring population numbers down any anyway, theres more people here than ever.
I don't think its genetic because I don't think we are genetic anything. Except maybe genetically male and female but even that can be changed.. and about that say if a guy has an operation to make him girl, who should he date? Men or Women?

I don't know if I ever bothered to metion this, but I am bi. I also have quite a few bi friends. It wasn't a choice for me. I just kinda relised I liked girls, and got crushes on them, just like I would get crushes on guys. But, it started to make itself a little more apparant these last couple of years.

Wow. A side of swans I 've never seen before ;D. All thats been said is true, and I've come to the conclusion that it really depends on the person. We all have diffrent minds, and how we preceive things will be diffrent from everyone else, most of the time.

Why is lust a sin? It's a natural part of being human. If we didn't have lust, then we wouldn't want to pro-create.

Why is lust a sin? It's a natural part of being human. If we didn't have lust, then we wouldn't want to pro-create. That's not true at all. I lust after plenty of people and it isn't so I can have a child or for "love". If it was all about just making sure you had offspring then why would infertile people want to have sex, why would homosexuals seek sex with the same gender, why would undeveloped girls who aren't able to produce children yet want to have sex? You lust because you want sex, pure and simple. It's a sin because you disregard God's plan, to save yourself until after marriage and to be loyal to one person. It's just another way to "give in" to human nature and temptation. It doesn't matter if it is lust, greed, pride.. whatever, a sin is a sin.

I'd also like to add that it depends on your religion and beliefs... some people certainly don't define "sin" the same way the same was as others. You mentionned human nature, Pinstripe, and, yeah, it is natural for people to lust, it just depends if you think it's wrong...

One of the adds right now is God and homosexuality..
I don't think there anything wrong if I thought a women was attractive some people are just that pretty. A few of my friends swear they would turn for Angelia Jolee(?) since shes supposedly bi. Shes definitley beautiful but I don't know what I'd do, it's not like she's propositioned me anytime reccently.
I agree lust has nothng to do with childern or love but sometimes lust can lead to love. Some people find nothing wrong with lust because yeah it's not sin to them. I find nothing wrong with sex before marriage because I don't beleive in marriage, however I think sex before love is wrong.

You know Dolphins are the only other creatures that will have sex purely for pleasure, when there is no chance of producing an offspring? Anyway, there is nothing wrong with saying or thinking a woman is pretty. It doesn't make you bi. I wouldn't have sex with Angelina Jolie, even though she's gorgeous, though I suppose it's all well and good for me to say that, like she's ever going to proposition me. If she really did, I admit I'd have to think about that one, even if it was just so I could say I lost my biginity to Angelina Jolie. But I would probably say no, if only because that's going to be a tough one to explain to the priest at confession the next week.

Actually I did know that thing about dolphins, did you read that in an email like I did? heh I know you can think other women are attractive but having an realtionship with Angelina Jolie does make you bi if any women here was ever to have one. It could also be a bad thing to say you lost your virginity to a star. I guess it depends on who it is.
