I know this is sort of copying the girly girls thread, but who here is a tom boy? Boys can join in on this discussion too if you's want. I like make-up and I wear skirts, but I prefer hanging out with guys and playing soccer than talking about clothes and hair. My fav sport in the whole world though, is AFL. Get this though, in primary school I was one of the few girls who made it into the AFL school team, but now in highschool girsl can't play contact sports! It sucks! I'm going to complain to my head of year soon I think.
We can still tackle a guy into the ground better than alot of those shrimpy dudes!

Girls should DEFINITELY be allowed to play contact sports. They don't need their own team or anything, just the chance to maybe play along with the guys. So good luck getting the school board to let you play... you go girl ;D I was sort of a tomboy in sixth grade... when I wore only men's or unisex clothing (NOT underwear -_-). But then, I preferred reading and drawing to sports, which are both pretty non-gender specific hobbies, so I dunno if I was a true tomboy... hehe, I looked horrible too... I let my hair get tangled and greasy, just like the guys

I have never been a tom boy. Maybe that has to do with the fact I am in fact, a boy.

I'm a super super tomboy. I verrrry rarely wear dresses or skirts, I prefer dressing up in male attire for formal occasions. Doesn't mean I can't appreciate femininininninninininnine clothing, I do.

i am much like madamluna. i can't stand to wear dresses, and i try to scam my way out of it... which i did this christmas, but that's not the point. and i hate make-up. my friends and my mom are always trying to get me to put it on, but i just run away and hide. i've had a friend attack me with make-up before... now that was scary. ;D

I wear skirts, but not dresses, but I prefer my jeans. I'd live in them if I could. lol
Has anyone here seen The Fast and the Furious? I love the cars in that! And I like the 2nd one too. For school we had to do this assignment for graphics where we had to colour a pic of a car in. (special types of shading and that stuff). So I traced a few of the cars and coloured them all in for fun. I could go into car designing business. lol

I like Tomboy's more than Girly girls, mainly because I can relate to them. If girls are more comfortable in male attire (Thanx for the word Luna :')) then I don't mind. The way girls feel should be personal and other people shouln't judge them.
However, some Tomboys think that just because they dress and act like guys, that they can be guys. Not litterally but that tthey will understand the way we work. That sometimes get annoying, however, i've only ever come across a few of these sort of girl.
(Also, tell me if i'm being sexist.)

I know one girl at my school who's always bragging that she's a major tomboy, but then she goes all fussy over her hair and make-up the next minute. I mean, she's cool and everything, but she's so fake! One day I said to her "I wish we could do real sport in PE, like soccer or something", so that's how we became good friends, but whenever we DO play soccer or something like that at school, she always makes up an excuse not to play. Not to mention how she flirts with the guys! Alot of the guys like her, but she gets really clingy and obsessed with them after a while so they end up hating her, and if she thinks SHE'S a tomboy, then she's gotta be joking!
