Are you like 12? Your not getting old. For me right now getting older is a good thing mostly, of course I'm going to marjorly feak out when I'm 25ish because then I'll be too old. Yes, I'm terribly afraid of age, I think it has to do with me wanting to be an actress, age isn't a good thing in that buisness. Older people are not respceted in our culture. Age is also associated with death, another thing I don't like. Ok I'm 16 right now. Which means I get more freedom, I can start driving, I have my own life.. kinda, its alright. But then again when ever I get depressed I wish I was younger because everything seemed so simple, and I liked that. The old, wrinkly, shrivled thing doesn't bother me as much as old, not respected, not treated right, waiting to die thing bothers me.
But we all get older, we just have to deal and make the best of it. I guess.

I always thought of it like this:
At 16 I could drive At 18 I could vote, at 21 I could drink at 25 My insurance went down and now at 30 it's all downhill.
You get your first wrinkles. I've had my first gray hair.
You shouldn't worry about getting old though...and I don't say this to be gruesome...
There are a thousand things that might happen: you may get old the world might end you may slip on an icy partch of sidewalk and break your neck and die tomorrow...
that's the quirky thing about life. That's why you live every day as best you can...then when it is time for you to the next path, you will do so with no regrets.

And I'm going to be forty... In eight years.. But it's there! (: I hate the idea of getting old, and once I reach the age I embrace it and everything but like Meg Ryan said in the movie-- "it's there!". Wait a minute....wouldn't 40 minus 8 years make you 32?

I often feel old, when talking to younger cousins or my myriad of sisters and brothers, of which I am the oldest...I might mention something like She-Ra or the popples, or something else eighties-ish and I get blank stares that make me feel ancient.

Ha Swans I knew where that was from. It's the only part of When Harry met Sally I've actually seen.
Yeah for awhile I didn't want to be 16.. not because it's so old or anything just because it means more responsiblity and its the farther away I go from being a care free child. But then someone asked how old I was and I answered "I'm 16" and I felt really good saying it. So yes, thats my story. I don't know why I felt good, i just acepted it I guess. yeah.

Uh, HELLO! I AM QUOTING "WHEN HARRY MET SALLY"!!!! Don't you remember the scene when Joe calls her up and tells her he is getting married, so Sally calls Harry because she needs to talk to someone. She goes on and lists all the things wrong in her life and then she says to Harry "And I'm going to be forty!" And Harry says.. "In eight years, Sally", and Sally goes "But it's there!". EDIT: Mrs. Goblin, you need to smack your husband for me! He's a human affront to all women and as a woman you need to smack him for not knowing this movie! I think it is the duty for all girlfriends/wives to make their husband sit through that movie! *dies laughing*

Well... everyone's going to get old... and it's life. That's what you do: you live, get older, die. Hopefully you do some cool stuff on the way and all... Right now I'm not worrying about getting old. It happens with the whole life thing. But... yeah... I'm probably not qualified enough to say that at 16. Or something.

Oh, and I've had my first gray hairs also. Not even twenty yet... *sob!* At least there's no wrinkles yet. Anyone seen Uptown girls? Remember when Molly looks in the mirror and sees that hideous old hag? I have that moment every day.

i show no signs of being old, for i am 14. but personally, i think gray hair and lots of wrinkles gives people a wise sort of look, depending on how they take advantage of it. if someone has an old wrinkled body that is toned to perfection due to makeup, they look sleezy and afraid to show theirselves. im looking forward to getting old.
hey Kobolos, you're 30?! i didnt know this. noone tells me anything. well congratulations on being what i suppose is the oldest member we have! i thought you were somewhere between16-20...
P.S. old people rock

Both my remaining grandparents smell very nice. Kinda like flowers. Getting old is frightning. When do you stop growing up, and start getting old?

I've got gray hairs.. it's not so much old as a family thing.
You people are all so rational about death. Thats just.. a bit weird. Not in a bad way.
