I don't think people tend to get gray hairs at eleven....

I think I'd rather die at like 60 than have to become really old. I mean how much would that suck? Depending on other people to live... Not being able to play sports or anything. And you'd just be all old and gross. I mean who wants that?

Well statistics show that men die earlier than women, so I think you're covered Trag. ;D I'd like to live a long life as long as I'm healthy and not senile. I would hate being known as the grandma who said things like "In my day, I had to walk 50 miles to get to school and it was uphill both ways." Guhhhh, so annoying.

hah. my nanny always says stuff like that. the walks to school, and how they didnt have shoes... and my grandpa always tells us about the christmas he and his brother got only one rubber ball to share, and they played every sport out there with this ball.
my grandfather smells like hair grease. and my nanny doesnt smell liek anything, really..
but the fact of the matter rests, old people are fun! dagnabbit, if i canyt get my grandpa to play poker any time of the day by telling him he's an old fart with no reflexes who cant shuffle for his life!

I don't want to be known for the things my great grandmother is, like the last time I came to see her her first indignant question to me was "Why aren't you black?" Since nobody in our family is black this sort of mystified me. I guess she mistook me for one of my cousin's friends (all of whom are African American)
If I get senile I want to die.

Funny, I've always thought of getting old as an adventure! For me anyway, because though it may seem a little strange or even self centred, I've counted on getting old to do what I've always dreamt of. I'm only 13, soon to be 14, but I already know exactly what I want to be and how I want to live my life. Ever since I was really young like around 7 or 8, It's been my passion to become a lawyer. I'm so serious about it that I even worry about tests at school now and whether or not that mark will reflect on my opportunity to get into a good university. The way I see it is: Graduate from school with top scores on my HSC (op's). Get into a good University and study legal studies as well as criminal psychology. Travel the world and move to the city. Get married in a church to a successful, though not necessarily financially successful man. Buy a nice car (of course) Become an established lawyer Write novels and do art in my spare time When I'm way older settle down in a nice house out of the city.

Cool. You've got it all planned out. I had it all planned out, too. I feel like I'm slipping this year, though. Don't care as much. Next year I do University applications. But I don't care about stuff anymore... getting bored. Anyway, that's off topic. I want to be one of those mean old people, and yell at kids and laugh at them... one of those cool weird old people who don't care what everyone else thinks. But I bet I'll be mistaken for senile and dragged off somewhere. Maybe I'd like being crazy. 'twould be something new. Anyway, I don't think I'll mind getting old as long as I can keep my sense of humour. I'm looking forward to retirement... because it'll be the only time I get a break. But I'll be too old to go out and run in the feild and stuff. Still, I can laugh at people, draw, read, write... sit on my wrinkly arse. I don't want to get too old, though. I never want to stop enjoying life because I'm too old to do stuff. When I'm at the point I'm too old to do things for myself and do the things I love... that'll suck. I mean... I know people always want to live long lives but it would suck to be 150 but bored and unable to do stuff... So living's only good as long as you can do things.

I agree. I would hate to live past 80, unless I'm really fit and healthy. I mean, I'd hate to be in a hospital every week. It would suck, but if I had alot to live for, then it would be alright, I ,mean, if I had grandkids or great grandkids, I would want to live for them.

It's hard for me to say at age 13, because I just don't know how much the average senior citizen suffers.

Well, even though I'm only 13, I've got it planned........but maybe that's just a girl thing, you know, to like everything perfect......anyway, I've decided about my career, though I don't think I'll ever have kids, so slash my last post. lol.
But imagine getting old and ugly! ewww. lol.
