The case of [Jerome vs. Board has brought up a debate on the realibilty of trails, juries and the 667 system in general. Many people think the jury cannot be impartial, others think trials are too much of a hassle...Is there a better method for banning people?

It's something I touched on in the trial thread...The Mods are mods for a reason...if they can't be trusted with strikes they should not be able to give them...But they are, so maybe the strike system should be like the policy we have at work.
If you get a warning that should be enough to remedy the problem, perhaps Tragedy could put up a "Scoreboard" section or the Mods could add the info on the calendar...
ie.
You click on April 16th (If you place STRIKE or WARNING in the topic it will show it in the box with a quote of why the strike/warning was given, then you could look at the month on a whole and see what days strikes/warnings were given and why.)
Back to my work/HR example: If you should get a first strike, that's like our "first written warning" you acknowledge that you need to rethink your behaviour on board, you should problably be smart enough to realize "hey, I better cut it out".
Second strike is like our "Final Written warning", one more strike and you could face punishment up to termination, or in this case, banishment.
Third strike=Final Strike You're out of here, thanks for playing.
There has to be consequences for our actions, if you get a warning and three strikes, that should be all you get.
On the flipside, if you want to protest a strike or warning, you should follow the "Chain of command"
First, speak to the Moderator that gave you the strike or warning If that doesn't bring an end to the problem take it to the Board Admin who has final say.
Pretty simple and in line with the business climate you may face in the real world.

I don't wanna sound like I am glad that I went to trial, because I am not... But can I just say that I think it is way cool that my cae may have a huge affect on 667's court system... It's like one of those famous cases...

I say 3 strikes, punishment, another 3, banishment. Three strikes can be given unfairly and in certain cases (coughjerome'scough) there can be controversy behind those strikes. So after the three strikes a punishment can be given to make the offender realize, Whoa, they're serious about this I'd better rethink...

I think the people that are voting for 3 strikes and your out, wouldent like that, because if they got 3 strikes, then there gone,a dn i dont think they would liek that, i think they shoudl keep trials, and do polls also
