Does anyone know what EX LIBRIS from the beginning of the book mean? And is there a reason why it's there?

Ex Libris = From The Library Of And it's there for us to write our names; though I doubt if anyone has. I've written mine in all of them, though my friends don't. I don't see the point in not doing; it's YOUR book. Haha, when I first started reading the books back in the summer of 2002, this girl in my primary was also reading them, and her TRR had two of them Ex Libris pages, so she assumed that it's for if you want to pass it on. *cough* dumbass *cough* XD

Col. Tuna wrote her name in her books, but I haven't; I'm going to let Monsieur Snicket write his name in my books. Katrina VanTassel hasn't written her name in hers either.

Monsieur means Mister in French. So, in other words: ...Mr. Snicket write his name...

Oh! I just happen to know where and when one of his book signings takes place. I plan to have DH sign my books where my name should be.
