Yeah, I'd like to know too. I haven't been up-to-date with any theories the past few months!
I really have no theories about that. Too confusing to think about!!!

The mother: Beatrice, Lemony's darling, dearest and dead sweetheart. However, there's also evidence that she's K Snicket. Perhaps the next book will settle things somewhat.
The father: No one we know, as far as I know. But some people say he is the poet Charles Baudelaire. I find that theory farfetched because there's no hard evidence for it, and it's odd that Lemony would include a very famous dead poet as an equally dead character.

In the Anguished Autobiography, I had a theory on who the Baudelaire father was, though we hab=ve never heard his name before. On the family tree in the back of the Unauthorized Autobiography, it has two branches with A and B. I think it's like this: B=Beatrice A=Alex And it has some stuff about whereabouts uninteresting and whereabouts unknown. On the page that has the postcard with the address and name scribbled out, you can see a little tiny bit of the name with either a magnifying glass, or you can just see it. It has a clear view of "Alex B". It might be D, but it is most likely B for Baudelaire. Well, that's it. Hope you liked it.

Alex Baudelaire, form LSUA. There is a letter adressed to Snicket and the return sender is scratched out but you can still see Alex Ba----

But...if we're thinking about the same postcard that would mean the Baudelaires were really old and owned the Prospero.

there is no way that the parents could have owned the prospero, b/c there's a pic and there's only two people in the picture and they're really really old

I don't really know about Beatrice being their mother. But I could be wrong. As for the Chalres Baudelaire theory, wasn't there a Charles in TMM? I'm not saying that he's their father but it would get confusing if there were two characters by the same name.

There's also Chas. Snicket (though he and the MM Charles may be one and the same).
Methinks the father is Bertrand Baudelaire, because of the note to the lion's head in the BBRE.
And I'm not convinced that the mother is Beatrice.
