I personally think that it is impossible to create fire with MOONLIGHT with a magnefying glass in a stormy night in the middle of a Lake that is being attacked by Verocious Leeches and is constantly rocking.  Books r still MAD tho |

My vote is for the elevator shaft thing, although the hypnotic mind control in book 4 is a close second. Violet starting a fire with the magnifying glass by moonlight is pretty high on unlikelihood too.
The giant lasangna, however, is one of the more plausible aspects of the series, or at least of book 5.

Definitely the climbing up the elevator. It's 660 feet! The lasagna is certainly possible, and hypnotism is real and can work. There could be trees like nevermore tree, you never know, same as the extraordinary reptiles. U could probably gentetically modify some reptiles to get the effects you see in monty's reptiles. Yeah, I payed too much attention in science this year...

Hypnosis is unlikely too, but totally awesome.
