Do the Baudelaire's have friends?

Yeah, when you leave friends(like I moved from USA to New Zealand) friends do tend to stop talking to you.

yes thats right and in the first book it said they had quite a few friends butthey had stopped visiting

I guess their friends were afraid of saying the wrong thing and making the children feel even worse. I've been in this sort of situation(the situation of the friends) at times, or at least the same sort of thing. When someone is grieving, you can't be sure whether to comfort them or leave them alone.

I said that any good friend would try to keep in touch, no matter how uncomfortable the situation. Look at the Quagmieres...they're still friends with the Baudelaires even after all of the tragedies.

maybe their friends were VFD involved and the schism caused something them to stop communicating with the Baudelaires.

I'm sure the bauds went to some sort of school... Although it sounds like they did a lot of independent study what with the enormous library in the mansion. But I know they did have some friends.
