Okay, so I can prove this theory, and maybe It's just a crazy coincedence, but who here has noticed that Episodes of Spongebob sometimes have referances to ASOUE in them? Like in the episode "Bubble Buddy", the menu has "Capitain Olaf's Seaweed shake" at the bottom of it. And in "Fear of a Krabby Pattie," it had something involving hypnosis. Anyone notice any others? (Is Spongebob in the UK?)

Coincidence, I'd say. I wonder whether Handler watches Spongebob?

Strange. I don't think they meant to reference it to ASOUE, though.

Yeah I doubt it has any connection with ASOUE

I don't think that since something has hypnosis in it, it means it's a reference to ASOUE.
And Spongebob is aired in the UK.

I just thought it was interesting to know. Not sure if it's coincedental or not. Or maybe they had heard about ASOUE as a movie then and decided to put it in as an in-joke.

That might be more probable.

I believe the episode 'Bubble Buddy' was made quite a while before ASOUE was even going to be a movie. Though, I'm not entirely sure. I just remember viewing that episode for the first time a very long while ago. Still, they might've made it as an in-joke about the books.

I guess it would be more proabable if it was just a joke. Maybe they thought no one would notice or something. Haha.

It was interesting but I was reading a point horror book yesterday and a group of people were talking about an old man named Olaf. But the book was released a few years before ASOUE was released.
