Mission: I will rererererereread the entire series, with certain things in mind, and I will note my new or old, but further supported theories, here. Things and Theories to Keep in Mind: - VFD=Volunteers Fighting Deleteriousness
- It's All A Test
- Some of It's a Test
- Did Daniel plan ahead [or was some stuff thrown togethet last minute?]
- Hector=good or evil?
Anything else?

I think TCC, TRR and TWW shows that it is NOT a test--Olaf murders people and the Bauds are witnesses.

He isn't sure who pushed whom down first. But they fell, whether the lions ate them or not. I think the fire andOlaf are major inconviences to the Baud's testing--but they're being tested nonetheless, and the volunteers learned to test them with the problems.

I don't think it's a test. It seems like a bad ending to me. It turns out that Olaf is actually good, they all live happily ever after. It doens't seem right.

I agree with what Dupin said, but you never know what Snicket/Handler will say in the end

That, at least! Otherwise Mr. Poe wouldn't have left them with relatives in VFD.

Mr.Poe's just stupid. He might not have even know they were V.F.D. members. Unless his stupidity is a cover up...
