Just to let you know, and its probably on another thread that I put out, on a picture probably around the same place as the Columbia road pic., there is an image of the Versailles Post Office, and Versailles is infact a real place in France, I have looked it up.

The Dunkirk, New York, Observer ran an article recently with this quote in it:
"After learning of the fire that destroyed the Versailles post office Sunday, U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has called on Postmaster General John E. Potter for help."
I wonder if anyone saw a tall, skinny man with a tattoo on his ankle anywhere near the scene ...

I don't think this is particularly relevant to ASOUE, but it's still interesting. I was googling around the possibility that 1485 in the address represented a year. It turns out that there's a theory floating around that Columbus actually discovered America in 1485, then covered it up til 1492. Conspiracies ahoy! There's an article about it here: www.sltrib.com/2003/Oct/10122003/utah/101015.asp

That could be a coincidence, it depends, how recent is the article, because it may be to recent to be inclued in the story.

Those pictures are great, but in LSUA there was a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the London Bridge...

I'm currently working on getting to the Columbia road in Canada over the summer, as I seem to be the closest person on the forum to the road. It still is about 4 hours away. And, in the Versailles Post office thread, we discuss the Versailles Post office on Columbia Dirt Road.
