Martini, I looove your av.
I'll repeat my post from the other thread.
My brother received TBB and TRR for Christmas about four years ago. My aunt, who got them for him, was told they were "the next best thing to Harry Potter". And so I read them. And so it began...

Col. Tuna/Esme667/Orli21 bought The Hostile Hospital from a book fair at her school, read it, and then before you knew it, I had stolen her book and spent the entire day reading it.I fell in love with it, and the next day, I bought The Bad Beginning at the same book fair(we went to the same school, then). From that day on, an obsession conquered Madonna...the obsession with Lemony Snicket and his Series of Unfortunate Events...*sigh* It seems like only yesterday... I saw them on TV. Daniel Handler was like "Lemony Snicket books!! NO!!" and then I said "I'll read them then." Don't you just want to do what people say not to? OMG!!! WHEN DID YOU SEE DANIEL HANDLER ON TV?! Was it on Nickelodeon, if it was, I think I saw that...

Me and mum saw 'em in a book store and so I borrowed them from the library. Now, I have personal copies up to TCC *dance* ;D

I needed something to read @ school, and my friend Erin was always saying how good ASOUE was (I had also heard about it being good toofrom t.v.) so I picked up the first one and started reading. I finished it and I was like "This is good, but not the best." I read the 2nd, 3rd etc. and I was like, "This stuff is awesome!" ASOUE were actually the books that got me out of my HP crazed life. Now I can't believe why I didn't read this stuff sooner.[glow=red,2,300]TEXT[/glow]
