Let's think; For the end of TBB, Olaf needed to grow his beard long and picture 4 in TRR shows how long it was! Secondly, in TWW, he had his hair and eybrow back, and how long does that take?

Well, for (a) eyebrow(s), my "friend" had his shaven as a practical joke *giggles like Pucca* and his took about a month to grow back. As for growning that beard, I would say a minimum of a month! So we can (almost) safely tell how long and interval is in ASOUE.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the beard was fake, because the Baudelaires found a fake beard in his trunk. Either that or Olaf has Rogaine aplenty for growing his hair after using a hairless-guy disguise.

It's been about a year, more or less, since the books started...at least in my opinion. Let's figure the kids were at the beach in book one and it was normally hot an sunny, that day being an exception. So was either late winter-early spring, just about. By TVV it is hot, very very hot, and by TSS, it is v-v-very cold.
So he But I think the beard was fake.

However, the last three books take place over a week or so. Therefore, TSS came only shortly after TVV. But mountains and hot deserts can be in close proximity. I live in a rather hot place, but there are snowy mountains nearby, just like the Mortmains. My town also has a lot of crows. I like to tell people that I live in VFD Village.

"I think this is the fake beard Olaf wore when he was pretending to be Stephano. It's a long beard, so it might work as a short disguise."
There it is fake, and its also long.
