And does anyone know Pod, Homily and Arietty C? That was a pointless answer, but I knew it. It's probably a generational thing. I do! But that may only be because my mother read a lot of older books to me when I was younger.

I know it as well! I'm surprised it was pointless to be honest.

Well, I'm glad it isn't only Old people who know it. (Though bear in mind it's not just getting the reference, it's knowing their name, which is harder.)
I've often thought the hundred people are rather odd in what they know and what they don't. I've noticed Richard has taken to making excuses for them sometimes.

I'm at a fastfood, and I found it written on the cash register. I never thought I would witness this in person but I just did, in a vineyard of all places.

I've been listening to obscure 60s folk singer-songwriter Norma Tanega who had but one single enter the charts (#22 in 1966): the song "Walkin' My Cat Named Dog" ( lyrics are here) - and I think that Stephin Merritt might've been influenced by it to write "Walking My Gargoyle". I like both songs, though. I always thought Merritt's song was about being a gay couple out in public, and Norma's version could be interpreted that way too, but is probably about being a non-conformist hippie.

A passage from the poem "Democratic Vistas" by David Berman reminded me of ole Lemony:

Donald Trump referred to the invasion of Congress as an unfortunate event. I was just thinking 'I must post that to OARLCT' when the presenter commented on it... www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVVHHXvjFvI(Comment is at 1.04.)

Me and Anka were playing a game with somebody who referred to rock/paper/scissors as needing you to make Very Fast Decisions.

My dad just started complaining about how much he hates gravity and wanting to destroy it at all costs.

I just saw a firehouse with a door made of green wood. Very subtle (sarcasm).

went on a short vacation over the weekend and found this ominous sign. it's a bit hard to see, but it reads, "WARNING: DANGEROUS. DO NOT APPROACH OR (OTHERWISE)--" the second half of the sign is missing. reminded me strongly of briny beach/lachrymose lake.

My friend had a teacher with a tattoo of an eye on his ankle, who recommended the students a lot of books including ASOUE, Matilda and Charlotte’s Web.
